The Art of #Ghosting

Ghosting is used much too casually these days.

To simply not return calls or emails, and not give the person a proper explanation as to why, just because you don't want to see them any more, is the work of a pussy.

You need a reason to ghost.

If a person has fundamentally breached your trust, either by cheating, or by misrepresenting who they really are, then that's a reason to ghost. You don't owe anything to a person like that.

How to #Ghost

1. Block the person you are ghosting on all social media and on your phone.

2. No contact means no contact. Never reply to anything they might send to you.

3. Make clear to others that this person is persona non grata.

What message does #Ghosting send?

1. It makes clear to the person you are ghosting that you have absolutely no further time for them in your life.

2. It sends out a loud and clear message that they do not matter to you.

3. It shows them who the boss is.

What is #Ghosting not?

1. Ghosting is not a means to bring a person into line or to make them do what you want.

2. Ghosting shouldn't be used as a temporary punishment

Remember the Golden Rules of Ghosting -

1. Only Ghost, when you are certain that Ghosting is justified.

2. Ghosting is Forever - there's no going back. Ghosting is a one way ticket to that person - out of your life.

Basically real-world /ignore for those that play online or just happen to know the concept.
In ignore though I use it as a way to diffuse unsurmountable conflicts. If the argument between me and somebody else has irrevocally gone out of control and more talking would just end up being more drama and toxicity, I /ignore them to protect them and myself from said drama and toxicity.
I usually am a tiny bit sad about it but I tend not to be even mad. I just see it's not going to end well and stop it before it turns into something huge and ugly.

Ghosted this 1 girl.. matter fact 2 girls on this site. Never felt so happy in my life.

They didn't want shit,
They talk about there problems,
Insecure about shit,
Clingy but dont want a relationship,
And top all off they just wasn't worth the time.

Like your take, except that two of your reasons don't make sense. You say that ghosting is showing someone who the boss is, but then say you should never ghost to bring a person in line or make them do what you want. Those two are contradictory. Ghosting *is* definitely a way to make a person do what you want i. e. to not contact you anymore/stay out of your life.
