The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - "Am I Affected too?"

To my readers!
To my readers!

Humans watch porn, don't we? Now, when you think about it, no other being (that we know of) does that! And when they don't, they also don't have the problems we do.
Now, don't get me wrong, you can't get yourself serious problems by watching softcore porn, twice a week. But in today's world, where porn is so available and Instagram models participate in softcore pornography themselves, through some questionable videos, some people are flooded with porn. Or flood themselves.
In a world, where we stay home more, ever since the end of 2019, and you are been advised to limit your outside activity, many people found themselves watching more and more porn, than even they themselves think they should. Altho some may not realize or admit it. In a world, where you are tired of listening about Covid-19, the whole years of 2020, 2021 and now :

2022!
2022!

this has been going for three years and i think its about time to address it.

0. Is Porn Harmful?
The keyword here bein' CAN. It can be, due often or excessive consumption, and let us admit: it almost always goes with masturb@tion. Which only makes matters worse!
Detaches you from the rational world, from the ordinary people. Twists your thoughts, messes your expectations. Elevates the likelihood for/of depression, OCD, harmful or self-harming behavior and other conditions. Neck and spine distortions too!

1. How porn affects the mind?
Aside from the psychological aspects i already mentioned, there indeed is undeniable link, between porn and kinks. Porn and fetishes (which evolve from kinks). And Porn and Perversions, which evolve from fetishes and then the weird behavior gets kinda evident.
I am not going to ask: You guys and gals ever heard of NoFap?
Some of you probably have. Some probably follow the 'way'. For those who haven't - search it up, altho i will make some mention through link, here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/comments/uwp50/female_benefits/
Since the NoFap movement consists primarily of men and started out FOR men, i linked for women. Men, most standard articles and advices related with NoFap, you will find on the Web, are meant for you. I am not ignoring you!

And there also seems to be link between post-nut clarity and porn.

The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - Am I Affected too?
The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - Am I Affected too?
The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - Am I Affected too?

Oh well.

2. How the affected mind does affect the body?

Terribly, and i will start with the side-effects, rather than the direct effects:
- People may not walk/run/exercise much: worsened hearth condition, weight gain, messed up hormone levels, aging faster.

- For direct effects:
a) Men: delayed (very) or premature ejaculation. Variable erections. Weak erections. Or no erection at all. The woman they like is right there, in front of them and their penis is not responding. Because their neuroplasticity is wired the wrong way.
b) Women: troubles getting wet. Sometimes, not getting wet at all and a lube (which might not be currently in possession) to be needed. Women too get addicted to the dopamine need associated with PMO (Porn->Masturbation->Orgasm), just like men.

The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - Am I Affected too?

c) Both: And make no mistake, when one of the partners have a problem and they like/love each other, the other suffers too. Because of doubts like: "Am i not good enough? Maybe i am not as attractive as she\he says? Did i do or not do something? I do not know the 'hang of it'?"

3. How Porn+Masturbation may effect the body?
This time i will start with the worst! :

Impossibility to have a sexual act at all! Penile injury/trauma - due excessive/rough masturbation. Clitoral damage - due excessive/rough masturbation or/and overuse of powerful vibrators, which i am going to talk about.

Erection problems, leading to young men taking Viagra! Because they already have anxiety, whether they will perform at all. I want to say, i am so sorry, if anyone reading this, has this problem. Its not funny, its not something to make fun of. But know from me, intimacy is not just sex=penetration. Its not - i am HARD-> let's have sex | or | i am not HARD -> we cannot have sex. Your penis' head might not be working sometime, but your actual head is working all the time! USE IT! Intimacy can be much more than just sex, you could always please us in another ways - fingering, licking, experiment with double orgasms with your girl/woman.
P.S. - I almost forgot to mention, that at some point, Men, due getting too used to masturbation, they may be unable to reach an orgasm, by the movements done and felt. Аnd the sensation of the penis being inside a vagina/vaginal walls around the penis, is supposed to feel like. Their penis may simply not recognize such stimulation as sufficiently pleasant.

Vaginal dryness, because when the woman's body is not aroused as response to actual, real intimacy with a partner, the vagina doesn't lubricates itself. Even if there is little lubrication or some 'lube' used, the act will not be really pleasant. And there often can be vaginal bleeding, because of it. To avoid some confusion, such dryness may not necessarily be lack of bodily response due porn-side effects. I had such bleeding few times and noticed it happens when/if i am having sex rather... too soon. It happens when i am not fully/very aroused. It also happened to girl friends of mine after douching, with later. Which may cause dryness.
Impossibility to actually orgasm and for which is also worse, some women cannot orgasm, during sex, without imagining and remembering scenes from their favorite porn. What a way to realize you have a problem. (Happens to men too i know). Women too may not find stimulus by penis inside them, they way it moves and feels - pleasurable. Which often leads them to try different positions, alas, to no avail.

3.5 Misuse/overuse of vibrator(s)
Many girls however, get to the point of buying vibrator, as its shown they may deliver powerful orgasms, in some masturbation videos they may have watched or they were simply advised by some popular 'chick', how amazing it feels.

And for which is worse, they are referred to quite powerful ones!
And for which is worse, they are referred to quite powerful ones!

Such vibrators are unnaturally powerful stimulus. Originally, our clitorises are not made, nor meant to be satisfied with such. What happens due the use of such powerful vibrators, is that the delicate clitoris, made of so much and delicate nerve endings, suffers micro-damage. Especially during orgasm, when the girl/woman might feel like pressing it harder against the clit and also over-stimulating it with the vibration.
Is such outcome even a possible thing? - Just because it is rare, doesn't mean it is not in the statistics!
Let's make few mentions, shall we? :

I know a woman, she is a friend of my mother. It took her some time to understand, that it was her vibrator (the overuse) the reason, for her clitoris to become desensitized and to have shrunk. The Gynecologists in my country were unsure about her case, as they are more familiar with... the more... "standard" or "popular" causes and cases. She went to Germany, Berlin. Thanks Goodness she was taught some Deutsch at her time, so she managed to understand, that when asked about her use of her vibrator, and for how many years it has been, during periods with no partners, that pointed them out to clitoral ATROPHY. It is there where she realised, after doctors mentioning it, her clitoris was also kinda pale, compared as to years ago. It even had effect on her sex drive, which she wondered why was lower, as compared to before, when she wasn't even 35 (years old) yet. As confirmed in here
- https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/clitoral-atrophy
It took some time to get her blood flowing back in there. And some sucking from a man...

4. Depraved Behavior -

Our behavior itself can be affected so much (due our porn fetishes, escalating into perversions) that it may push is into some... questionable behavior. Make no mistake. Not small number of people on this very site, already display such behavior. Some more than others. It roots back to early porn usage and often, fetishes and perversions derive from certain porn a person might find to be its 'thing'. But folks, this IS NOT who you are. This is not who you WERE. And this is not who you would be, if you were never affected by porn like that. And this is not who you still have to BE.
There are so many fetishes, and perversions that might affect one's behavior, that i cannot think of them all. But i will mention:

Blood fetish

I mean, maybe when its a sexy Vampiress, maybe... Stop! Its still wrong!
I mean, maybe when it's a sexy Vampiress, maybe... Stop! It's still wrong!

Harming behavior - person who uses violence towards his/her partner, to increase its' own arousal. Beating, slapping, hair-pulling, so on.
BallBusting - quite popular i must admit, and i see people trying to normalise it. And when the thought of going too far and damaging those reproductive organs actually turns you on, you know you have a problem. I mean, what's next, kicking women hard in the belly, aiming for the ovaries... uh.. ovary-busting?
CuntBusting - albeit less dangerous, still dangerous enough and can be equally as painful, as the previous mention. For some reason, there is wider acceptance when its done as woman-to-woman, rather than man-to-woman. There are some social factors i consider they might be contributing to this, but i am unsure. Despite being submissive and a masochist myself, i do notice that CuntBusting is associated with deeper problems, which i will mention soon. And it greatly concerns me.

Engaging in questionable practices or scenarios.

This will include roleplay scenarios, which are actually risky. Some BDSM games.
Self-destructive situations like cuckolding, which is by the way often related to low testosterone levels in men and low self-esteem. Don't believe? If anyone with such fetish is reading this, try increasing your testosterone and keep that for days. Practice some martial arts too, as said by a man i know.
Exhibitionist(ic) behavior - I mean, some people go too far. Showing off to teens? Come on!
Agreeing into Humiliating situations, degrading...
Public humiliation - remember what i wanted to mention earlier? Believe it or not, this CuntBusting runs in here, where i live. What it actually IS about, is submissive girls, participating in publicly humiliating scenarios or challenges. Unlike boys, who know how painful a kick there is, i have seen, once - live, girl trying to prove something... she could not. What they actually get out of this all, is that they will be defeated shamefully in front of other teens. They will be seen and WANT to be seen as weak and pathetic. They are aroused by the attention they are going to receive (when boys observe them) while suffering on the ground.

All this for the others attention, approval and being liked? :(
All this for the others' attention, approval and being liked? :(

They actually reach some sort of... brain orgasm... when their most 'forbidden' and extreme fantasy becomes true. And it is in a way release, because later, they experience something similar to the post-nut clarity. They come to realization, what a self-harming, self-destructive and mind-boggling scenario they went through. And they burst into tears.

Ending - So, dear readers, if this article made you question whether you or someone you know, might be affected by porn too...
Sit down, get a paper and a pen, think carefully and write down, whatever you suspect might be a symptom of a deviation, caused by the porn in your life. What would you be like, without the porn effects in your life?
And hold nothing back, because in the end of the day, you can at least be honest with yourselves.

The problems porn MAY lead to - both psychological and physiological. And why must we ask ourselves - Am I Affected too?

And its not shameful to come forward.

  • Well written and researched, great job.

I personally do not find porn that interesting, in the past it was used with my man to get idea's, but it was not a turn on for me, still is not. Likely because I had myself uploaded against my will to porn sites, so don't really know if the people there are willing or not.

Not saying it should be outlawed by any means, just makes one wonder.

    • @Mikeybear Already did, what do you mean?

  • Thank you for the fantastic job of writing this article and all the research that went into it, not to mention the time you spent on it. It is an eyeopener that should be required reading for anyone who watches porn or is considering it.

    • Using your comment to add something i forgot! :D For those who are on the path and work on their problems to actually teach back their own being, into enjoying and orgasming due sex - the best way to actually re-wire is with caring, understanding and supportive partner. And by having sex with other living human being, you actually teach your brain and body, that THIS is NORMAL and RIGHT. But will take time.

    • That is very good advice. Hopefully this will help some people deal with issues they are having that were caused by porn.

    • Thank you for the MHO. 😊

  • nicely done and well written.

i would like to get your opinion on the fact that a lot of fetishes and kinks develop before many people have watched any porn films. they develop early in life and at first you can't explain what it is, its not until adult hood when you start to realize that you have a kink or fetish. this can't be blamed on the porn films as it developed before seeing them. i do agree that they effect and lead to opening up more kinks and fetishes and maybe more willingness or need for that to happen for the person to orgasm, but still dose not take away from the fact that you already had that liking?

secondly, is porn not always the leader for a lot of sexual acts? e. g. when my parents were growing up, a blow job was a taboo thing to do and now its fourplay and accepted by most and not even frowned upon. and will this be the same for years to come (not saying that its right, but its evolution), it seems almost common place for girls to be expected to be face f*$ked, and to have no gag reflex. now for my generation that seems full on and harsh, but for the generation growing up now e. g. 16-20 year olds that common practice.

i guess in a way what i am trying to say is, that as humans we evolve and we dont know what the next evolution of our behavioral traits will be, we have seen films where they depict the future and sexual stimulation is a suit you put on and link to someone else over the internet type thing. but we dont know. and how the world develops with the likes of COVID and the war in Ukraine and lets not forget the other wars Syria, Yemen etc. how these will effect our lives and what we are able to do and how we get gratification. because at the end of the day, humans want gratification, we want pleasure and the development of the internet has changed how we think and act. internet dating has changed how we all look at each other and potentially find our partners. again a good example, in the old days you had to go to a club and meet someone to be able to chat to them, now i can go online and see all the single people on a website, this has had the effect of (IMHO) raising people standards as they see lots of pics of fit people and think that they have a chance, but back in the old days, if he was the only person that came up to you that night, that was your only option. now i can send a thousand emails and actually expect a reply from a model (which probably isn't and stole a pic lol).

    anyways enough rambling from me.

    • It's propaganda and it seems a widespread one, that often fetishes Often develop WITHOUT porn. One which even you believed. There is nothing, physiological or psychological to support that claim. There are circumstances, where that might happen, but it is rare. And fetishes derived from porn are much more likely. I mean, you could poll 100 people yourself and see for yourself, how many people's fetishes came out of nothing and for how many derived from porn.

    • i can't say for sure, but what i am able to say is that i have a kink/fetish and it definitely developed before i knew anything about sex. all i know was that if i was to put on certain items of clothing i had a feeling that i couldnt explain. and i still have that in my adulthood also. yes it has developed with watching and looking at porn but by no way was it derived from porn. but that brings me back to my original post of, is this not how things progress? e. g. blow jobs were taboo years ago and now they are considered fourplay and not taboo at all. also we do not know where sexual preferences and desires are going, yes they may be first seen in porn but how else would you know about it if you didn't see it?

    • "yes it has developed with watching and looking at porn but by no way was it derived from porn." This part got me so confused... I know a guy, who likes BIG vulvas. But it didn't come from watching such in porn. It derived from seeing it ONCE, accidentally, in video teens were showing to each other. After that, he didn't think much about it. He didn't search for such women. He didn't even watch porn. But slowly, over the years, it was developing in his mind. To the point where three years later, he was quite interested in such women with such... pussies. He vaguely remembers the starting point tho. So yea, before i wrote this article, i spoke with few people about porn and kinks and so on. People i actually know in real life. So when i write something, i am sure what i am writing.

  • Great article. And I’m glad you started with number zero! That was interesting because that number usually gets completely overlooked.

  • Society does not care about men... so when it appears to care that too many men are watching porn you should ask yourself why.

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
well lets see i think this covers some but not all written well and researched good but you must also look at the other side too if the relationship is not working then what? dont use porn/or toys to just pass off what your partner is not giving you?

    • Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy-yyyy

  • That's all utter bullshit. There is no research supporting any of thoae assertions. None of the sites you quoted are presenting serious medical research, because there isn't any.

    • Did you throw sand in your eyes, when you checked them?

  • Also not to forget the objectification of women that is rampantly done in porn videos, that mentality gets crossed over to teenagers, which can potentially lead to a toxic male.

I myself had begun to feel the effects. Since then, I have limited myself to porn so much that now I do not even feel like watching it. Just comics, softcore porn. But no those videos.
Misogyny is a problem, and I did not want fall prey to this as well as the porn problem too. Need to be very careful on the internet.
Do not know what will pop up from where at all.

    • It's not really misogyny in the porn, it's how poorly the threat is women there and the unreal impressions they create. And the confusion what to do to a or with a woman, during sex, as a man. Like... Slapping the woman that gives you a blowjob and telling young men to do that to 'them bitches' too. I mean, dudes, in real life, if you unexpectedly slap the girl during that moment, you surprise her and shock her, she will likely bite your Dick off out of reflex.

    • Yes I completely agree with you. If you slap her, then she has full rights to bite off the dick. 🤣🤣🤣The guy deserves it then. I considered misogyny as a different problem. Along with the porn problem, misogyny is also a problem. This problem can develop as a side effect to porn too. In 90% of the porn, woman is submissive, teenagers see that, and expect real life girls to behave like that too. Which they should not, and they don't. Teenagers get angry, and thus the seed for misogyny is sowed in that teenager. One bad thing and so many problems! I focused on teenagers as it is this age where you learn. And you literally do not care if it is right or wrong as you cannot tell it yourself. And this mindset in teenage acts as a reference and CPU for their whole life.

    • Girls abuse boys too through. When you have two genders, it's never one-sided.

  • As far back as I can remember when I was a kid I’m not sure how it started but I always had a foot fetish I didn’t know why either. I’ll be 30 this year and I’m still addicted to pornography. I have noticed I’m not like everyone else as far as behavior patterns go. The thing is I hate that I’m addicted to porn and I hate that I love to rub one out on disturbing videos and images that make me question to myself how messed up am I really? Many times I think to myself I should just end my life because of how messed up in the head I am. I’m depressed all the time and I want to quit the addiction but I can’t it’s like a drug. How am I suppose to have a normal life if my entire life I’ve always wanted to do or be done the things I seen in the porn videos and images. Sometimes when the soft porn stops working I look to harder videos to seek that gratification. It’s a sucky life and I feel like I’m just trash and I should basically be tortured and beaten to feel the pain that I believe I should be receiving… at least with the pain I feel a little rush like an adrenaline. It’s something other than sadness and depression that I feel.

    • Start by watching less and less porn, by the day. In 10 days, you should stop, totally. And try replace the time porn consumes from your life with something else. Something healthy. Start inserting real interactions with real girls into your life and just keep going. And never look back.

    • I mean I appreciate the advice but do you understand how hard it is to quit? It’s literally like a drug. You can’t just stop it. I’ve went a whole month once actually but I was forced to basically I was basically in like a camping style thing with a room full of people so it wasn’t like I could pull my phone out and watch something. But even after I month i still was drawn to it

    • Hard is not equal to impossible. You still are young. There isn't something you CAN'T do.

  • Well, Geeeze, I am suffering all of the effects you described, and, as a matter of fact, I am writing this with the help of a computer, because I am in a mental hospital wearing a straight jacket

    • Dang

  • Great my take. There’s a reason why the CIA tries to flood countries that the US wants to destabilize with porn.

  • You could just ask men out. Approach them and ask them out? I don't think society wants men to initiate anymore. It's becoming a serious mine field and not worth it.

Just do it. Ask men out.

  • I think you make many good points.

  • Nice.

  • There are all kinds of "porn", you know. The stuff I choose to watch seems a lot less harmful to the mind than some of the violence I see on TV, in movies or in video games. And my sex life is just fine.

    • If you say so. Still, the Article is about EXCESSIVE consumption of Porn.

  • ALL HOLLYWOOD AND DISNEY AND PORN NEED TO BE BANNED. MATERIALISM SUCKS.

  • Haha. I hear you. But you can say that for literally any addiction forming habit.. I mean you talk about porn in that way. I would say hollywoods romantic and Disney movies have done the same things. Unrealistic expectations for what love and romance should be. The inability to need to put forth efffort because every woman especially things she is a princess and that she should be given what she desires, instead of work for it. The fact that there is always a happy ending, when in reality, that is hardly the case. The inability to handle situations in a relationship because that’s how it was painted for them on how things “should be.”

Like porn, it can all be very destructive. So we don’t need to just focus on the porn aspect.. if we are going to talk about stuff like that we need to look at all unrealistic scenarios and things that exist.

  • every vice has consequences; Excessive shopping, smoking, drinking, overeating, Women focus on the bad side of porn because they feel threatened in their ability to use men as an ATM. If it weren't for porn most 50 yr old men would file for divorce

    • I think you make a good point. A lot of women seem to be against porn because they had the market cornered on sexual gratification. Prior to porn being ubiquitous the need to satiate sexual desire drove many men into relationships and marriage. With porn so readily available in so many different varieties I think many men can be content with that for their sexual needs. Women don’t like that as it makes many of them feel they are obsolete. They see it as competition. Not that I’m endorsing porn.

  • Very true I've had a lot of these things happen to me

  • First time to see someone else use the word vampiress, nice.
Don't know why, as this is the first time of me hearing about cuntbusting, but I found it hot to imagine. Yeah, yeah, send me to perv gulag.

  • I just saw this. GaG should do a better job of promoting this kind of content instead of bs questions about incest.
