The Theory of Homosexuality

Homosexuality has been called many things. A sin, a mutation, a mistake. But has it ever been identified as a Fad?

Homosexuality is to have attraction to the same gender and many people arn't afriad of saying that they're homosexual. But when does your "gay pride" get a little out of hand?

Some people believe it is natural for homosexuality to be in place. On a personal note, scientifically speaking all creatures have the capability of choosing between the same sex, or the opposite. Often animals who are seen being involved in homosexual acts have the instinct to reproduce, however way, and which ever way possible. Now what people don't like to think about is that abnormalities in animal DNA happen as well where a male animal has more female chromosomes than usual. This might lead to another male animal attempting to reproduce with that animal. (So goes for female animals as well.) When animals attempt to breed outside of their species it is often because of the instinctive desire to reproduce. Dolphins, who are said to show signs of homosexuality, are also highly intelligent animals and have periods of time where they are strictly "homosexual" and then strictly "straight".

Now, in Christianity, the Bible explains it as after the human race lost perfection, they lost the ability to decern right from wrong. (Don't get me wrong, the Bible may say homosexuality is a sin, but it also says to love you neighbor.)

The fact of this huge matter that everybody seems to be over-looking is the genetic differennce in males who "choose" to be homosexual and females. Most males who choose to be homosexual have an abnormal amount of "X" chromosomes, which make them more human and because they have nothing to balance that out with (another "X" chromosomes) they come across as what we call "gay". This may also apply to animals as well. We also should take into consideration the mindset of most males. Males are known to generate displays of power and express homosexual acts while not being homosexual.

Females on the other hand, tend to generally be more "reactive," after getting fustrated with males, a female will try homosexuality because it is easier to find the same ease with another female than it is with another male. Males naturally think differently than females.

So is homosexuality really wrong? Well it is a genetic mutation and it is part of a pyschological pathway that gives most creatures to choose between one sex or the other. Which sex is right? It really just depends. DO you believe more in Love, (the most inconcievable, yet longest and most wondered idea of the universe?) or do you believe in natural order? (The idea that sexuality is meant to be used for reproduction.)

Often many call Transgenders "it", because they no longer fit into a category of male or female. Many feel this is not fair, but at the same time, how is it not? The natural order of this world and the most broad diversion of all time has been the differentiation between male and female. Those who are born with two different sex gentials are often mutantions whether "imperfect" or normal. This is caused by a differentiation in the gene pool. Often, many say that Transgenders should have to choose a side of the pool, but many do not wish to limit themselves to a gender. Often the body when deciding gender will read which trait is the most dominant and if both traits are dominant, you may get two genders. If most of your dominant traits were for that of what we describe as a "male" and you recieve a female organ, it is because that particular trait was more dominant than the male organ trait.

Now here comes the messy part:

Should people be allowed to Love whomever they want to?

Here's the unbiased opinion: Who the hell cares? Whether you're a dog a cat whatever, no one should care because it's your decision, and as long as you don't infinge on my right to Love who I want to, I will respect yours.

but remember that all things come with a price.

Maybe one day there will be a little girl who falls in love with a dog.

Maybe one day we find alien life, and a human falls in love with a "same gender" alien.

Maybe one day the world will end and we may need to rebuild the human race, but we can't becuase the human race was killed off by promicious people who called themselves "bi".

The future holds a lot. Let's see what it brings.

Also: naturally through homosexuality a man cannot make another man pregnant with a child unless that other man has the bodily organs of a female which gives him the ability to birth a child. Same goes for female.

Well that's it for today folks! I just wanted to clear up how I saw homosexuality. If you have any agreements or disagreements please share, but in an opinion minded position.

I'm not here to "bash" on anybody, I'm just here to share and explain ideas and theories.

This take attempts to sound pseudo-scientific supporting biological essentialism (while of course promoting that the Bible claims homosexuality to be a sin and therefore it's unquestionably "bad") - but it doesn't even get the basic definitions right.

    Hello? That's NOT how chromosomes work.

    Chromosomes are the following: "a thread-like structure of nucleic acids and protein found in the nucleus of most living cells, carrying genetic information in the form of genes."

    Alleles are the following: "each of two or more alternative forms of a gene that arise by mutation and are found at the same place on a chromosome."

    GENETICS DEFINITIONS END

    So technically, you have TWO chromosomes, one of them is an X allele, and the other is also an X allele. That makes you FEMALE (or more specifically, that makes you produce the hormones that makes you develop into a female).
    If you have TWO chromosomes, one of them is an X allele, and the other is a Y allele, then that makes you MALE (or more specifically, that makes you produce the hormone that makes you develop into a male).

    What does that mean? This means that if you have "more female chromosomes than usual", that would mean you have THREE chromosomes, like so: XXX, XYX, XXXX, XXXXX

    These are legitimate genetic disorders and they have severe complications in development.

    Sorry to say, but chromosomial disorder is NOT the cause of homosexuality. Therefore, this entire take is moot.

    p. s.: I can barely wait for until people want to put others into behavioral boxes for what is "appropriate and typical" for a male and female, and just accept their sexes and affinities for what they are.

  • Personally I don't think sexuality is a choice. This is how I see it:
    You have two plates of food in front of you. Some people like one, some people like the other, there are even some people who like both. You try a plate and it tastes like complete shit. You don't have to think about it, you don't have to tell yourself you don't like it, you just know. You can pretend to like it, you can lie and tell everyone else that you like it, and you can force yourself to eat it. But you will never truly like it. Just like how a guy who is gay will never truly like being with a woman, even if he tried.
    Plus I don't think teens would "choose" to get bullied in school for being gay, where it gets so bad that it leads to the point of suicide.

    • here's how I see it: you have two plates of food, one of aspargus and the other a burger. You could CHOOSE to eat either or both. I think everyone has the ability to choose everything and anything they want in life. You make homosexuality sound like a genetic trait than a personal choice.

  • I can care less what society says. Finding sexual appeal in someone of the same sex is wrong and not normal. Yet it's completely their choice but personally I wouldn't want to be around that sort of behavior and I wouldn't want them around me or trying to push their beliefs on why it's right on to me or family.

  • Every living beings in Earth has one single purpose of life. And that is to REPRODUCE another one of his/her same species. From Virus to Human being, all of their purpose to reproduce. Now Homosexuality is an obstacle to that purpose and thus became sin, a mistake, unnatural etc. in different culture and society. But in my one opinion homosexuality is fine as long as you bring a new life to the world. Again just giving birth to a child is not all but you have to take care of it. And by taking care I mean bringing it up to his/her age until he/she cane take care of himself/herself. And this is where its gets complicated. How? Look for all those problems he/she will face in his/her life being brought up by a Homosexual parents in the internet. Nobody know how she/he will come to think of homosexuality. That is also a big concern. Anyway if the parents can ensure a life to their child where their homosexuality is not a cause of problems in the child's life then homosexuality is fine. And I also mean the same goes for straight parents. If they too fail to care for their children with the problem with their marriage life then they are equally questionable as the Homosexual parents.

  • Not having a go at your opinion cause everyone is allowed to express what they believe and I respect you for that. But I dont really believe Homosexuality to be a choice. I didn't choose to like guys it just sort of happened. What i did choose though was to accept that I like guys and to be happy with who I am :)

  • Current studies seem to point toward homosexuality being rooted in development, not genetics. The two studies that attributed it to genetics have not been able to be replicated with similar results, and the scientists who conducted the studies both have since stated that it's not genetic.

  • Sexuality isn't a choice. That's like saying I can become lesbian if I choose it. And my answer is no, I can't become a lesbian because I'm not attracted to women. I can't choose love and be attracted to women because I FEEL attracted to men. Or to say 'Oh I saw a man in the streets I chose to be attracted to him'.

    Don't try to explain such a complex thing as sexuality if you aren't even able to understand that you don't choose who you are attracted to and that attraction is something you feel not you choose.

  • At the end of the day, here is the bottom line. As long as the relationship is between two creatures who are of legal age and possess the necessary requirements to be able to consent, it really shouldn't bother anyone else's life other than the two actually in the relationship. The rest is all irrelevant details humans decided mattered, when they never have. Love, within reason, is most important.

People can't control who they get aroused by, they can choose to not follow with the ACTION, but they can't control who they get attracted to. I'm 15 and I can say that because it seems like the most risky and determental thing the human race has ever done to one another. And of course people can't control what they get aroused by, but that's no reason to act on your desires. (tell me, is a rapist said that a woman had aroused him you would say that is enough given reason to rape her?) there are things in everyone's minds, certain things that may not or should not be acted upon. With homosexuality, I don't really care what you are, what I care about is the need to flaunt it in everyone's faces.

  • My take on it is that it's something that gets deeply rooted into someone's psychology one way or another. All these people who haven't done a sliver of research about it will claim it's genetic, but the funny thing is that there is no genetic link whatsoever! I'm all for people being allowed to do whatever they want to, but I think it's ignorant to say that someone "is" gay.

    • Exactly. That's why the burden of proof is on the people who have made the claim that specific sexual preferences are part of the genome. Sorry, calling me a bigot (I know you didn't but it is a go-to insult for many) is not an excuse to say you are right. I am going to side with the evidence, and there is no evidence to suggest sexual preferences are genetic. Refer to Freud's ideas on the subject.
