That sounds similar to a weird and extremely uncomfortable experience I had a few weeks ago. I was going into bed bath and beyond and saw a NY plate and saw a woman in a car and thought I recognized her so I go inside bed bath and beyond to pick up what I needed and left when I got back in my friend's car she's still sitting in there and she grabs her phone and takes a picture of my friend's plate number and me as well sitting in his car.
