Number 1 is a person with wide set hip bones.
Number 2 is a person with closer set set hip bones (some would say narrow).
The narrower your hips are, the closer your femurs are - femurs are your thigh bones... The closer the femurs the less chance of the thigh gap you'll have.
Also - the more muscle and/or fat you have the less chance of a thigh gap you have.
Simple...
Please, don't confuse the thigh gap with the gap above the thighs - if the thighs touch you don't have a thigh gap - by very definition... The left is a thigh gap, the right is not a thigh gap - because the thighs are touching...there is no gap between them.
So don't bother trying to create one - if you're of normal weight - chances are you simply can't have one. Live and love.
If your body is healthy that's all that matters!
