Thinking about getting off of birth control due to me worrying about my weight gain but I’m worried that my boyfriend won’t feel good with condoms?

I’m worried that sex won’t feel good for him anymore if we go back to condoms. I started birth control pills because of him I’ve been on them since October and I was 130 pounds now I’m 143 that’s very bad and I think it stops me from losing weight too and causes cravings but I’m not sure.

I see you've said no to IUD, talk to your doctor about NuvaRing. You just slip it inside for 3 weeks, take it out for the 4th week to have your period then put in a new one and start again. It's been great for me, especially since I knew I'd never be able to take birth control pills on the regular, so this was a great alternative for me. It's fairly cheap too (I think). It's also supposed to have much less side effects than other birth controls, and I was also recommended it because it wouldn't mess with my anti-depressants like others might.

But something to think about is that no birth control is 100%. A lot of people recommend using condoms even if you are taking pills, or using a different method of birth control. Just something to think about

Talk to your doctor (preferably a gynecologist) about the possibility of the pills causing it. Because life causes it. We are a very sedentary people now.
If your doctor recommends, she/he could switch the hormone type, so that [I think you would have less estrogen, and more progestin?] it changes the balance. It might be the answer.
Condoms do suck. Won't be as fun, or as spontaneous and uninhibited.

I think that is something that you and your boyfriend should discuss together. Tell him how you feel about the birth control. See what his reaction is. I'm sure he loves you enough that he won't mind wearing a condom

143 is not heavy. But if the pills are causing you concern condoms will have to do. I have had a lot and I mean a lot of great sex and orgasms with condoms. Have you considered an IUD it works well for my wife?

Condoms might dull the sensations for both you and your boyfriend but you shouldn't sacrifice your self-confidence and general well-being just to maximize your boyfriend's enjoyment of sex. I mean, bring it up with him and he might feel the same.

It's true that these pills impact your body a lot. Since you have a steady boyfriend, I'd say don't worry too much. He should have respect for you and accept the fact that he has to wear a rubber. If you are single, it's more dangerous. I stopped taking the pill while single, but that's also the time when you tend to have some drunk one night stands and it's a lot harder to make those guys wear a rubber or pull out in time. I had a lot of luck... and payed a lot for morningafter pills :s

Well I look at it this way if you were my girlfriend I definitely would not want to wear condoms so I would have to make a choice and that choice would be I'm coming over to your house three times a day 2 * we're going for a fast walk for 30 minutes each gay for 30 days and then I'm going to sneak in your bedroom for a couple hours and then we can go for another walk for 30 minutes

You should try the IUD! I know it sounds scary and complications can occur but they're very rare. With anything medical there's always some percentage of risk. I've had the Mirena for a little over two years now and I don't even know it's there and haven't used a condom since. 😎✌️ Have not gotten pregnant lol. It is uncomfortable getting it put in but I promise it isn't as bad as you think! Especially if your OB is a good doctor.

my wife has been on BC for 8 years.. it did not cause weight gain. On that same token there are literally like hundreds of different kinds so i can't say if my wife's case relates to yours.
