I see you've said no to IUD, talk to your doctor about NuvaRing. You just slip it inside for 3 weeks, take it out for the 4th week to have your period then put in a new one and start again. It's been great for me, especially since I knew I'd never be able to take birth control pills on the regular, so this was a great alternative for me. It's fairly cheap too (I think). It's also supposed to have much less side effects than other birth controls, and I was also recommended it because it wouldn't mess with my anti-depressants like others might.
But something to think about is that no birth control is 100%. A lot of people recommend using condoms even if you are taking pills, or using a different method of birth control. Just something to think about1 0 0 0

Talk to your doctor (preferably a gynecologist) about the possibility of the pills causing it. Because life causes it. We are a very sedentary people now.
If your doctor recommends, she/he could switch the hormone type, so that [I think you would have less estrogen, and more progestin?] it changes the balance. It might be the answer.
Condoms do suck. Won't be as fun, or as spontaneous and uninhibited.0 0 0 0

I think that is something that you and your boyfriend should discuss together. Tell him how you feel about the birth control. See what his reaction is. I'm sure he loves you enough that he won't mind wearing a condom
1 1 0 0He said he wouldn’t mind but I want him to still feel good
If he said he would then don't worry about it. He could get the condoms that are thinner with more feeling
@pink_and_inlove i would care a lot more about your own health and safety than whether or not your boyfriend feels good.
143 is not heavy. But if the pills are causing you concern condoms will have to do. I have had a lot and I mean a lot of great sex and orgasms with condoms. Have you considered an IUD it works well for my wife?

17 14Condoms might dull the sensations for both you and your boyfriend but you shouldn't sacrifice your self-confidence and general well-being just to maximize your boyfriend's enjoyment of sex. I mean, bring it up with him and he might feel the same.
1 0 0 0It's true that these pills impact your body a lot. Since you have a steady boyfriend, I'd say don't worry too much. He should have respect for you and accept the fact that he has to wear a rubber. If you are single, it's more dangerous. I stopped taking the pill while single, but that's also the time when you tend to have some drunk one night stands and it's a lot harder to make those guys wear a rubber or pull out in time. I had a lot of luck... and payed a lot for morningafter pills :s
1 0 0 0Oh the poor guy. Guess he will have to suck it up. He won't like it if you gain weight either. Sometimes you just can't win.
0 0 0 0Try switching to another BC. Some are different and one can have less side effects.
1 1 0 0Try an IUD!
1 0 0 0Have you considered getting an IUD?
1 1 0 0I really don’t want that I’ve heard really bad stuff about it it’s also costly and very painful/uncomfortable to get one
I don’t want a mistake to occur with the iud that could result me into being infertile that’s one of my concerns
Have you talked with your GYN about other options?
Well I look at it this way if you were my girlfriend I definitely would not want to wear condoms so I would have to make a choice and that choice would be I'm coming over to your house three times a day 2 * we're going for a fast walk for 30 minutes each gay for 30 days and then I'm going to sneak in your bedroom for a couple hours and then we can go for another walk for 30 minutes
0 0 1 0Better to be safe girly!
1 0 0 0Then clearly you shouldn't get off your BC
1 0 0 0You should try the IUD! I know it sounds scary and complications can occur but they're very rare. With anything medical there's always some percentage of risk. I've had the Mirena for a little over two years now and I don't even know it's there and haven't used a condom since. 😎✌️ Have not gotten pregnant lol. It is uncomfortable getting it put in but I promise it isn't as bad as you think! Especially if your OB is a good doctor.
2 0 0 0Do whatever makes you happy, but 143 isn't that heavy
0 1 0 0Definitely speak to your doctor about the weight change. In the mean time if he doesn't want to wear a condom, stick to oral.
0 0 0 0There has to be one with the least side effects, I would talk to your doctor
1 0 0 0You need to do what is best for you.
0 0 0 0I got off for the same reason but then I recently got back on. How bout switching to a different birth control?
1 1 0 0I guess I’ll have to meet my gyno in September
Did you switch?
Yes I did
You're a really thoughtful girlfriend but I think it's fair that he uses condom once in awhile or more
0 0 0 0my wife has been on BC for 8 years.. it did not cause weight gain. On that same token there are literally like hundreds of different kinds so i can't say if my wife's case relates to yours.
0 0 0 0she's says its called SprinTec, She does not experience the side effects listed on the following site

IUD!!!
Avoid the hormones.
If you're only with one guy then iud is the way to go.1 0 0 0No thank you I have no one to get me one it’s very painful and uncomfortable I do not want an iud
I’ve heard bad stories about them too
Well... okay. I'll grant that everyone is different. The more my wife took the pill the more weight she gained. When she got an IUD she stopped gaining weight, started to lose weight. It was uncomfortable for the first month but then you can have it for up to five years with no worries. The only side effects she had were a little heavier bleeding during her period. She had one for years and then I got a vasectomy so she wouldn't have to worry anymore. Do you have health insurance? Why would anyone else need to get you one? Well, whatever you choose I wish you the best.
There won't be much fleshy to feel but yeah it still good don't worry.
1 0 0 0Condoms do suck. Try an IUD like Mirena, etc..
