People are not medical or political manuals that can change just because a diagnostic tool that deals with them has changed. Some might be influenced by it but not everyone. I also believe that non hazardous and socially inclusively and mutually respectful preferences for traditional gender roles should be given a certified position in life, because hate is not the only pre condition where a preference for traditional gender is possible and described. I know a lot of straight acting people that respect those who are different but do not endorse alternative ideas on the topic in a visually promotional or didactic capacity in the world.

Most heterosexuals cannot fathom having a mentality in which homosexual behavior would be acceptable.

I do agree homosexuality does fall under the definition of abnormal since most people in the world are heterosexual. But I don’t see how it is a mental illness. Gay people don’t hear voices, don’t experience extreme mood swings and don’t think they are really fat when they are thin etc

Depressed people feel sad all the time People with personality disorders experience lack of sympathy for other people or obsessive behaviour etc Schizophrenics hear or see things that aren’t there. Anorexic people think they are fat when they are not. Homosexuality doesn’t cause any of the things above. I don’t see why it should be considered a mental illness
