I live in NYC where it's legal. I do walk around topless from time to time, especially to get some sun in Central Park while reading a book.
Why don't women do it more often if at all?
3 main reasons:
1.) We're generally raised to believe that our breasts are obscene and private.
2.) Most women are self conscious about their chests, especially in an open setting outside of their comfort zones.
3.) There are pigs put there who take it as an invitation to come talk to us in that "hey baby" type of tone. Not to mention those who get close to rake pictures
I understand. I imagine though if more women stated walking topless the fascination would wear off.
It would certainly take a while, but it's possible. Our ankles used to be insanely sexualized around a century ago; merely exposing them would get us in trouble act as an invitation to other stuff.
I think it’s worth the fight. But it has to be women who do it.
I don’t live in a state where it’s legal, but when I’m in other states I do go topless. The problem is that even in those states, many businesses won’t allow you to go topless
Are you sure about your state not allowing it? Most of people think my state doesn’t allow it but the law actually does as long as your not trying to arouse. I can sort of understand businesses not allowing it. Do you get looks when you go topless in other states? Do people just ignore the fact that your topless or how do they react?

I wouldn't be comfortable like that in public places
unwanted attention. if i want to go skinny dipping or something and there are guys in our group then i know what to expect and i can put my clothes back on if i don't like it, but i don't want to walk down the street like that
It's illegal here, but even if it wasn't I really wouldn't have the confidence to do it. I'm not even comfortable wearing a crop top 🤷
I would be cold going topless! Anytime I wear a crop top I’m always chilly, so I know I would be uncomfortable with no shirt at all. I also just like to be covered. I don’t want everyone to see my boobs, and it would be uncomfortable to go without the support of a bra for very long.

There's probably some private nudist clubs/beaches etc. but it's still illegal to walk in public places topless. It's not something that remotely interests me in doing, purely because I am not an exhibitionist.

1. Insecure about my breast
2. Werid men exist
3. Not comfortable being half nude in public.
I am curious, why are you insecure about your boobs? I can understand not being comfortable in public, what about in your home?
I have big areolas that I'm insecure about and at home I can be topples in my room.
Maybe you will get more comfortable with your insecurities. I completely understand you not wanting to be in public. I am insecure about my weight so I don’t take my shirt off even though i could.
