Wanting a Tradwife just means you’re lazy?

You want the benefits and bragging rights of a family and probably the sexual turn on or enslaving a wife. Prove me wrong.

  • I think a lot of the times guys who are overly obsessed over traditional wives are probably wanting to keep them at home so they have to rely on the husband. The husband then gets to call all of the shots and the wife better not complain about anything. It's a control and power dynamic for them. Also it means they're home all of the time so no colleagues, work friends or male colleagues that those guys have to worry about. So insecurity issues are also taken care of.

Why do men really care if women work? What is the real underlying reason? I always hear a lot of skirting the issue or obvious bullshit answers from guys who are obsessed with this topic. I just once want some guy to at least be unapologetic and have balls and really state why he doesn't want a wife working. And I'm not even talking about like a woman being a ceo or anything. I'm just talking about a nurse or secretary so they can't claim "oh it's because it's masculine" a secretary isn't traditionally a masculine job. I just would like to hear the honest actual answer for this. Have some balls and just say it. We all know the real answer.

    • I don't have any interest in what my theoretical wife does for a living of if she does anything for a living. I don't define myself by my career nor her by hers. Her money isn't going to impact me one way or another, so I don't really have a dog in that race.

    • @mandyfire98 Yes. Exactly

    • @BoopBoopBeep will your money impact her?

  • As someone who is of the egalitarianist mindset such as yourself I always used to want a 50/50 partner. I met a nice woman who was a Tradwife type of woman. I didn't agree with what she was I wanted her to work and have job and be happy, but working and having her own income did not make her happy. She preferred I have all the authority and responsibilities. I didn't know how to be the boss and want her to contribute.

She was actually happier doing the house work being a tradwife type of woman. I couldn't understand it and didn't agree with it. I broke up with her about a year ago. I didn't like having 100 percent responsibility over a woman. I like things fair. But I am not going to lie I did enjoy some things about it, but I need a woman who is on the same level as me.

She had a hard time keeping a conversation with me and her education was not the best. She seemed well put together at first, but then she started acting more submissive. I don't know if that is the same experience for most men.

    • I know some very educated women who still are looking to be a traditional wife. What I don't understand is why they get so much vitriol from non-traditional wife women. If Susie is doing what makes her happy and staying at home and keeping everything beautiful why is Janie getting so butthurt about it. Doesn't affect her in the least. If anything one less person in the workforce, one more job opening for others. I'm straight. I only date women. If every man I know decides to be a stay at home dad/husband I could give a flying f_ck at a rolling doughnut what they are doing.

    • Well you should stop doing what you want and act as how I see fit. Wait I’m not Republican. Carry on dude!

  • You may have a point, but the "prove me wrong" stuff is really irritating.

    • Prove to me how it’s irritating.

    • No no way

  • I bet 90% of guys with one are wife beaters.

  • Not generally, no.

  • No it doesn’t mean you’re lazy it means you’re smart. Trade wives help the economy by not working (because when you double the work force prices go up). The are mothers they are cooks they take care of the house. While you’re at work helping the economy grow you providing for your family by making money so your wife and children can survive. While you’re wife provides for your kids in education and bring them into the culture by raising them in the way they should be which is be a decent human being

  • It's wanting a decent, peaceful life.

    • Your reply is only related if you’re a sadist who wants their wife dependent on them for everything.

    • The sadist part is intended at a lame effort to denigrate the viability of a Male-led family. It is very much The Boss and Consigliere. The Boss makes final decisions and sets strategic goals while the Consigliere provides counterpoints, detailed inputs and operating procedures. In effect, the Consigliere runs the family while ensuring that the Boss thinks he does. My father, very much like my related Namesake (unknown here) served in that role, while my mother often debated aggressively on how and when to get things done. As often as not, he said: "Ohh, all right!. In successful, upper-ish Middle Class families, this arrangement was the backbone of the massive prosperity of America after WW2. Some ethnicities, mostly Catholic, have carried this through, respecting the essential nature of Trad Wives and is why Your Government wants to oppress Catholics, remove G0d from the public square and make our culture government-centered. If the USA still operated like this, we wouldn't be offering free fellatio to the Chinese, Russians, NORKs, Iranians and whoever next week. And thanks got giving me this opportunity to witness. Really.

    • Wait, remove god and it’s just government? There’s no connection there.

  • When I was poor I didn't want a tradwife. Now that I have money I appreciate someone who looks after my home. My girlfriend likes cooking and cleaning more than working and is happy. The time that she saves my makes me more money and I'm happy to share. I don't care if she changes her mind and starts working. I kinda wish she wanted to start a business together but she doesn't. FYI, she has 2 business degrees and went to university on academic scholarship.
