There's very little stigma associated with women being physically close to one another, and is very often encouraged by society. By contrast, men are often desperately worried about doing anything that 'looks gay' and are constantly encouraged not to be physically close with one another except for a few specific things or circumstances.
I mean, depends on the girls themselves. Whether they're comfy with physical interaction. My girl friends and i are very much touchy with each other! We hug for very long, we even kiss each other on the cheeks and we even flirt playfully. That's just the relationship we have. I don't know if it's the normal relationship everyone has, but from what i had seen, it's common
I think it's because we are not uncomfortable with being touched by other women. Also, people don't assume that we are gay just because we touched each other. While men are automatically labelled as gay if they touch another men. I'm NOT saying that being gay is bad, I'm just saying that some people don't lik being called gay because they find it offensive.
The Creator designed women to be comfortably intimate with boy and girl babies and I think that extends to any age. It does not mean they are "bi". Look at our near relatives, monkeys and apes and look at their grooming behavior.
