What are my chances of have herpes?

I'm Terrified of STDs. I've been sexually active for 2 years and every since I started having sex I noticed I will get inflammation and rashes on my vulva and I'm constantly checking my vagina for abnormalities to the point I can't take out anymore. I've been with 2 men: the first guy I was with for about 2 months, we used condoms everytime we fucked and after we split I was got tested and everything came back negative. The second guy is my boyfriend, he's the only person I've had unprotected sex with, he thinks I'm overreacting and thinks if I was infected then he would be too but he has no rashes or symptoms at all and we've been together a little over a year. Drs won't do a blood test on me bc I used condoms and show no symptoms. I also have eczema and they just call it that and prescribe me ointments. I have no blisters or anything like that But If it's is my eczema why did it only start after I began having sex? I can tell there is some dry skin there but my concern is that herpes could have made me condition worse and that's why I get rashes.

I'm tired of wondering what if this what if that. How can I be certain I haven't been infected? Could I do a urine test?

For everyone saying get tested, I want to but they won't do a blood test if I don't show symptoms soI'm going to ask for a urine test

So I have an appointment Monday. My boyfriend pretty said whatever happens, we're in it together so I shouldn't worry. It may also be the ointment I was prescribed for my eczema since I was 10!. No doctor told me the side effects of prolonged use which are * drum roll* rashes, itching, stretch marks, thinning of the skin, dryness and skin irritation etc. So yes.. I'm going to stop using that

  • I did read online that not using enough lubrication during sex

    • He's been away at school for the last month so I haven't been having sex so that's why I'm confused on why this is happening now. And it's not your fault. I try to stay safe but I worry too much

    • @jackiejaii I wish you the best to feel better with this I'm sure it's something to do with eczema or yeast infection now yeast infection can be treated with anti-fungal cream best wishes :)

    • Thank you

  • sadly... you are ok... you are worried for no reason, if he has no symptoms, or rashes or sores, you are not infected from him, your fear is making you sick. maybe therapy would help...

  • If you're worried. Find someone to do a test. Go to a sdxual health clinic and get tested, then you'll have you're answer.
    If it is- easily sorted.
If not, at least you can eliminate it as an option figuring out what's going on.

    • I'd like a blood test but they won't do it because it's more than likely going to be a false positive. Do you know anything about urine tests?

    • I've only had a swab test before. But I know people who have had urine tests. Generally here it's tested for one of those ways, and not a blood test.

    • Ahh. Well I made an appointment for Monday. I'll post an update after, I'm from NC and they don't include herpes testing into your sti tests unless you have sores. They will more than likely have to do the urine one on me

  • 100%!

But keep in mind that my guess is no substitute for an actual test. I could be wrong. Even doctors suck at making guesses that aren't based on actual examination & test results.

Just go to a clinic and get tested.

    • So what can I do?

    • A blood test of more than likely going to be a false positive

    • Tests are 94%+ accurate so no it's not most likely to be a false positive. Take the test twice if it makes you feel better.

  • Just get tested and you'll know 🙂

  • Go to the gynecologist and explain to her the concern you have, and the lack of willingness doctors seemed to have in testing you, and ask that she does so so that you can be a safe and responsible partner.

  • If you have eczema, your skin is already sensitive to foreign antibodies, so it could take six months for your body to build resistance to the various bio flora your boyfriend, is introducing you to, this is just nature, some scientists think that healthy offspring can’t be produced from one sexual encounter, it takes months for your bodies to combine and properly interconnect.

    • We've been together a year now though

    • Try using a antihistamine before or after sex, see if that helps.

  • You have sex and don't know that they have std tests?

    • The first guy said he was clean, I was tested in between the two and my boyfriend was a virgin but I got tested again to be safe

  • You need to get tested to know for sure.

  • If you are worried about false positives just take the test two or three times.

    Boom, problem solved.

  • I'd find another Doctor, preferably female, also, being allergic to spermicide in condoms is not unusual,,,

  • If you're that worried about STDs you and your partner tested before y'all have sex or and wear condom for him

  • If your doctor says you are fine, you are fine.

    • Doctors misdiagnosis things all the times, all the symptoms I do feel can be similar to be herpes and aren't exclusive to my eczema

    • Fuck, you won't be happy until you find something wrong. My ex was like this, it is fucking exhausting to be around.

    • I don't want there to be something wrong & I'm not your ex. I just like confirmation. I've ruled out every other STD with either a urine or blood test but not this one

  • When you say Drs. Did you mean gynecologist?

    • Yes I made an appointment with my dermatologist next week

  • Go to a std clinic I've never known a Dr to say no to a test that sounds weird id probably change drs. Men can have some STDs and not show any symptoms at all so can women with diffrent ones.

    • They shouldn't say no lol

    • How did that take so long I get mine did the same day then 3day wait for the results

    • But that's great

  • You will know immediately if it's herpes. They look like a small bunch of tiny, close together blisters filled with fluid. Even using a condom won't totally prevent you from getting it. It's safe to assume you probably don't have it but your boyfriend should get tested and request a print out of his results to show you.

    • It's common to not show any symptoms

    • Not as common as you might think. Herpes viruses generally do display symptoms, it's just the frequency of outbreaks are different depending on the individual. Some people may never display symptoms. These people are also less likely to infect others. There are various types of herpes. Oral and genital herpes are not the same but one can cause the other. Like if you have oral herpes and perform oral sex on your partner, that can result in genital herpes. However the most common transmission of genital herpes is genital to genital. The shingles and chickenpox viruses are also forms of the herpes virus. Your chances of having herpes are very high when it comes to oral herpes but relatively low when it comes to genital herpes.

  • probably a decent chance, that sounds exactly like herpes.
    Who cares
I would definitely fuck a chick with herpes , most guys don't give a fuck about that.

    • I don't think that's true.. most people stir clear of people with STDs

    • yeah like Aids or hepatitis but herpes just isn't a big deal in my opinion

    • Well there's two types of guys: guys who do everything that moves. Guys who are careful.
