What are the effects of using Aphrodisiac? Is it dangerous?

The party i went was pretty usual with lights and music and all, but i found out that there was this guy who sneaks Aphrodisiac in and put it into the drinks. The effects i deal with was very bad, legs were numb, aren't able to see straight, unable to think and respond to others, heavy breathing and panic attack, combined with the effect of alcohol. Even puking doesn't help, It was horrible. There were around 3-4 girls who got the same effect more or less and one was sent the hospital. Is it normal for Aphrodisiac to work like this? How can we treat it and are we able to test or know it if our drinks were mixed or not so we can avoid.

  • Putting any drugs into drinks is dangerous. You had some bad effects, and some people have worse. If the police are not called and he is arrested, then a couple of guys should beat the crap out of him! And make sure he knows worse will happen if he does it again. For some people, the drugs could cause death.
    Always keep your drinks under you control. It is hard to do if you are partying, but do not get far from them and keep your eye on them. Finish your drink before leaving to use the restroom and get a new one if you intend to keep drinking.

  • That does NOT sound like an Aphrodisiac, more likely a Date Rape Drug.
    Being sick won't help as it works on all systems once it is in your body.
    There are Date Rape Detection Kits but I'm unsure of the costs.
    Personally I would get someone totally trustworthy to watch your drinks.

  • Aphrodisiacs are basically oysters in the shellnow I thought that was a crock of s*** but it turns out that it's not that it actually releases the endorphins in your brain that turns you on and there's several foods that are aphrodisiacs but there are very few chemicals that I know of that are aphrodisiacs one chemical is called ecstasy ecstasy is a great aphrodisiac although I've heard that one pill out of 100 will kill you I don't know if that's true or not but the people that have taken it said that it is worth it I've never taken it I don't know cocaine is an aphrodisiac but it is very addictive and really hard to get off of on your own take my word for it but what you're describing is a drug to knock you out so that someone can fuck you without your consent or knowledge that is rape not only is it rape but it is a felony to give someone a substance without their knowledge that could potentially kill them some people are allergic to these substances and will have very severe side effects or allergic reactions from these types of substances and maybe even die so to slip someone a substance or a chemical without their knowledge could potentially be attempted murder if not murder itself if the person dies you could find out who done it or get close any new person that came to the party is a suspect then you go down the line and see if any of these new people have had a history of violence toward women or because it's probably a man has been arrested for something similar most likely they have been arrested for this if they've been doing it for a while in it would seem like they would be if they spiked that may girls drinks you would probably have to download the app called instant checkmate or something similar and pay two or three dollar fee to look up the background of anyone but it would be worth finding out who would do something like that I think if I were a woman I would want to know who done that or would do that to someone else sorry that this is so long

  • I think you misunderstand what an aphrodisiac is. It's usually a food that is associated with releasing the same endorphins related to sex which include Oisters and chocolate along with a lot of other things.

  • First you should report this jerk who is drugging girls so that he doesn't do this to more women! He must be stopped, and it's important that he explains exactly what you were drugged with so the hospital knows how to treat it. Rohypnol, GHB and Ketamine are all date rape drugs to screen for and treat.

  • I'm no expert but to my knowledge, they're not dangerously powerful. If anything, they're subtle inclinationa. I mean, chocolate is an aphrodisiac apparently and people eat chocolate all the time and you don't see people constantly regretting who they had sex with after they eat chocolate.

    • Oh, I didn't see the paragraph below the header. Upon reading it, I checked the definition of aphrodisiac and now realize that aphrodisiacs aren't just food. I didn't realize it included drugs, but it makes sense. And I didn't see your story. I can't answer the question as to whether or not that is normal, I'm not really sure how those drugs work. But everyone knows of rufies or however you spell them. I'd imagine there are aphrodisiacs that can cause permanent damage, but st the very least many if not all of them render your ability to consent disputable. But I have heard of ways where you can test your drinks. If you Google search it you'll find some. One that I heard of that was pretty cool is a nail polish that you (obviously) apply to your nail, and you then dip your finger in the drink and if the nail polish changes color, the drink is likely positive for some kind if common drug like rufies or something. You'll be able to find a lot more if you look it up.

There are drugs that have a somewhat effect on people that may help a guy get a girl in bed but they re made for other reasons, not as an aphrodisiac. If man had a aphrodisiac pill it would have been well know to everyone as soon as it came out...
    You were drugged plain and simple. If it were me I would report it before someone else gets raped from it. Just my opinion.
