What are you thoughts on "look alike" porn?

I was hanging out with a friend once, and he was going to show me some pics on his phone. He accidentally opened up his porn folder. Which was genuinely hilarious. But I couldn't help but notice that the pictures looked like a friend of ours. I pressed him on it and he admitted that he seeks out porn actress that LOOK LIKE people he knows. He has them for a bunch of his friends.

I asked some other friends and they said they do the same. Apparently there is even a website using facial recognition to help you find matches.

How do you feel about this? Is it normal? Is it a violation? Is it creepy?

If you found someone had done this with you... Would you be flattered or weirded out?

There are three situations and all are completly different in my opinion.

1. The neutral situation what you describe: I think its okish but a bit weird. Maybe understandable when the person has a crush or something. As long as it stays private and is no shared weird but fine.

2. Someone leakes nudes from a lookalike as if they where someone they know as a form of humiliation/cyber-bullying. Totally not ok and disgusting to do.

3. Real nudes got leaked by an ex or someone seeking revenge. There are some online onlyfans models that you can get into contact with if you are a lookalike that than will claim these are theirs. Noble cause that sometimes can safe social lifes.

kind of weird. like, it’s your private kink, but if i found out about it i would be majorly creeped out and wouldn’t want to hang out with that person anymore

Doesn't bother me. In fact I'm not even bothered by deepfake porn. If you think about it, once deepfakes are common they serve to protect anyone's reputation - if real nudes leak out you can claim they were fakes.

The one case I'd be worried is if they porn was of people where the viewer was in a position of direct authority (like an employee or student).
