I'm not really following what you're saying. I don't know if you've ever been on a dating site, but it's a ton of work. 10,000 messages just to meet for a cup of coffee? If you like her, why not keep her as your "special" friend? Just be honest and upfront. Tell her that she's awesome, but your head is in a different place, and not ready for something serious. You might be shocked how many woman are on the same page as you. Everything is life has a time and season. This isn't your time or season, so just tell her that. She can stay or go.

I am now in a relationship and too old for that.
but... when I was young and dumb I thought nothing of it. I had a few, I was safe and used protection and as long as there was an attraction I was all in.
i guess it is risky as you really don’t know much about the health of other person, but in the heat of things it didn’t matter to me
