Castration is the elimination or blockade of androgens, such as testosterone. This is done by surgical removal of the testicles or by medications. The effects are: hot flashes, weight gain, mood changes, fatigue, loss of muscle mass, breast development, cognitive changes, impotence, loss of libido, osteoporosis, and changes in lipid profile, increased fat, and higher risk of heart attack.

If it is something that a man chooses (with communication with his partner if he has one) and carried out by medical professionals, that's his choice. Not something I would ever consider but I can't speak against it on any sort of merit.

Yes. When you mess with the bodies balance of hormones it increases the chance of heart attacks and stroke. Serious issues to consider.

There are drugs that can do that. That's reversible. Hard to imagine a surgeon who would remove healthy organs.
