What are your opinions on one night stands?

Having had three of them, I obviously don't have a problem with them. Men and women have natural sexual instincts and if the two people and the moment meet, there is no reason why they should not do what nature made them to do.

The only caveat I have is that if you have a one night stand, you take responsibility for any consequences. In my case, I got my second one night stand pregnant and she gave me a beautiful son.

The only downside is that she decided not to tell me until he was 14 years old. Originally when she found out I had gotten her pregnant, she decided to raise the baby on her own. In this, I have to say, she did a great job as a single mom and he is an amazing kid.

She later changed her mind and - incredibly - she managed to track me down and I won't lie, I was shocked and a bit suspicious. However, the tests confirmed that he is my son and I am now working hard to make up for lost time, and am helping him to get to know my girlfriend and our three children - his half siblings, the oldest of whom is 5 years younger than he is.

(Happily, my girlfriend was totally understanding and has been hugely supportive. We have my son over on every other weekend, on some holidays and for half the summer. (He is do to arrive next week, in fact.) My other three children also love their big brother. Honestly, given the circumstances, things could not have worked out better.)

Anyhow, sorry, more than what you asked. Bottom line, though, sex and sexual attraction are healthy and natural and when something "clicks" a man and a woman should definitely have sex. So I say, do what nature made you to do.

I had a few before I met my fiancé. The one that really struck and crushed me was having a one night stand with a guy I went to grade school with.. I regret a couple of them because of how attached I got emotionally and had higher expectations of something more with the guys.. it’s not something I’d recommend if you’re the attachment type of person.
