  girls don't really put it out there, because in this world, if a girl does anything sexual, she is called a slut or a hoe. A guy can sleep with 50 girls and get an applaud on the back.   Well if you wanted to go that far that women want relationships and men don't care about relationships, then you really are getting to the point of reproductive strategy. For survival of the species/preserving your line perspective: Men want to impregnate as many women as possible because that gets the most chances to have his children live into the next generation. Hence they care less about a relationship with one women and more about being a "slut" so they can spread their seed. Hence, in his strategy many is better than one. Women can't just "cum and go" on to the next guy (at least until recently in the course of human history). Once sex occurs its a 9 month process to produce the child and many year process to raise the child to the point that it can successfully move to the next viable next generation on its own. This process is difficult and she really needs a man, or at least others, that will help her during the process. Therefore, her strategy is not to bang as many men as possible, but to find one that will stick around and help her deliver and raise the product of the banging. Hence, in her strategy one is much better than many.
