Quality foreplay and mental stimulation also seem to be more crucial for women. Something like 50-75% of women cannot orgasm from intercourse alone. Clit stimulation is the most important for orgasms, but for the most part regular intercourse alone does not provide enough stimulation to get there.

Well, the clit is made from the same structures that make up the tip of the penis. So for men it is getting constant stimulation during intercourse while ours is kinda left high and dry for the most part, so it may very well be that men get more physical pleasure from that than women do. It does not mean that it is not enjoyable, but maybe just not stimulating enough to reach climax. This isn't the best comparison, but say you really enjoy some ball play, but that that alone is likely not going to get you off. Doesn't mean it doesn't feel good. You can definitely combine them though, and that is the best. There is also a sense of closeness and intimacy with intercourse on a level that is special on its own.

A woman has to be in the mood, comfortable, and feel safe. Biologically speaking it's thought that orgasm shortly after ejaculation increases the odds of pregnancy. The are other biological factors to consider as well. A pregnant woman would need a suitable mate that would protect the woman and child. A high quality mate would ensure this and the likelihood of a woman having an orgasm increases. Men could also last much longer than women if they choose to have some self control. As pretentious as it sounds, I've never had a problem with finishing after a girl, if anything she'd be too sensitive to continue
