this seems like a biased question.

if found guilty in a court of law by evidence, they should be punished accordingly. my personal plan would be removal of the penis or clit. take their ability to derive pleasure from sex, while leaving the responsibility of their reproductive organs.

after that, repeated offences, especially violent ones should result in the guilty party being put down like a rabid dog.

A rapist should be castrated, but only if it's CLEAR that he's a rapist, and it's not just some jacked-up accusation. Castration would probably benefit him, since the loss of testosterone would make him a calmer person.
