What does it mean when a guy holds your hand during sex and not by the wrist?

When I was having sex with my boyfriend and we in the missionary position, this time held me by the hand and not by the wrist but before he did so he looked staring into my eyes for a while ( he's never done that before) then he gently took my hand.
Am I over thinking this or does this means something?

  • I don't know if it means that he feels something particularly for you or is in love with you. But it is certainly a psychological sign of a desired for deeper intimacy. At least in that moment.

  • Don't overthink it yet, see if it happens again. Holding by the wrists indicates he is more dominant, holding your hand and looking you in the eyes shows his softer side
