What women are missing? absolutely nothing because that deviance is not something natural. Proof is that most mammals don't practice it because evolution has made them aware of the dangers associated with it.
I am not in favor of forcing anything or saying that women should perform oral more than men. (Though there are many asymmetries). Anyway, kissing is "normal" and is about getting bodily fluids from somebody else in your mouth. Oral Sex is not that different, is it?
Oral sex is indeed different because you can give HPV-1 (lip herpes) to a partner's genitals or get HPV-2 (genital herpes) to the person that gives oral. Would you accept to lick the nose of your partner and eat the snot out of her nose or to consume earwax? Those are also 2 bodily fluids.
