What exactly is making love?

My boyfriend of 3 months has not said he loves me yet but has said we don't have sex we make love. I asked him what the difference between sex and making love was and he said making love means you care about the person. Do you have to be in love to make love?

  • Yes you have to be in love to make love. People that say "making love" and "sex" are the same thing - wrong. Making love to someone is to show that you love them, that you are devoted to them and willing to spend your entire life in the warmth of comfort. Having sex can be intimate to but it's not the same. Sex is for the pleasure. Making love is to show through intimacy that you deeply love that person. Sex and making love are two very different things that are often overlooked as one thing. NO!.. Have a good day :)

  • For some, making love means to have sex with deep intimate emotions involved. But frankly I think having sex, is having sex.
