Ok well, what I can tell you is that I have seen studies and heard plenty of real world stories to confirm those studies in my mind, which say yes. Pornography seems to have a proven effect on the "reward centre" (which is a layman term for the nucleus accumbens). Our brains have evolved to reward us when we achieve something. The reward is a dose of a type of dopamine which is sent to that nucleus accumbens or "reward centre" I mentioned before. Because sex is needed for reproduction, humans and near to if not all other mammals who use sex for reproduction get rewarded for doing it in this way. It is one of the things which drives us to do it and we must do it or our species does out. Hence the need to evolve a natural reward for it. What happens when we view pornography (and this has been proven in both men and women) is that we receive this reward. If we look at pornography too much, two things can happen. One is that we deplete the brains ability to produce this reward and it sends us down a path of seeking more "hardcore" pornography. Two is that we learn to receive the reward through pornography and not through real sex (our brains can't evolve as fast as we have developed technology). So when someone addicted to porn in this way attempts real sex, they are not used to the particular type of stimulation and will struggle to get the same sense of reward.
