What I can say about being raped by my father, and step father?

So yes this is deep, I am personally sharing my story to help more people out there. My dad was a strong man and i was a 4 year old and happend until I was 9. He made me think thats what all families go through even through thats not true. Going to court was not easy at my age even though he took a plea deal. It hurt me and my entire family and I learned how to become a better person from what happend and learned tbat you can't trust anybody no matter who they are to you. My step-father's case he did it when i was 15 and a little before my 16th birthday. Now I know that i knew it was wrong but it was hard to tell anyone the secound time i personally think even harder than the first time. Court takes forever and its a slow process. Now what I can tell to anyone whl was raped is that you have to keep going amd fight please dont give up. Dont do things you might regret life is full of bad and then sometimes great people who can make you feel amazing about who you are as a person. I hope i was able to help and im willing to anwer questions.

It is a very sad account of what no child should ever have to go through and I am sorry that you had to experience such a trauma.

Sadly, most cases of rape do actually occur within the family or within the extended family. When children are victims of rape, they are too scared to tell the truth and very often, adults don't believe them because in their minds, rape always occurs with others and never in the own family.

There is no ideal way to handle this trauma and everyone that is directly concerned with such an event bears psychological scars that often don't go away. They are the stigma that accompany a victim a lifelong and that dictates their approach to intimacy.

That is also the main reason why I personally do not have any understanding whatsoever for people that fantasize about being raped.
