What is daddy issues exactly? Does it have anything to do with girl calling the guy daddy during sex in the porn films etc?

Superb Opinion

  • The father may have wanted a son and "ended up" with a daughter. That sounds cruel, but it happens. She may have tried every way possible to be part of her dad's life: participating in sports, going hiking and camping or wanting to go with him on fishing trips, but she never measured up to his expectations. As a result, she seeks attention form older men. Keep in mind that this is only one example. There are other specific issues as well; some much darker.

Black women quite often call guys "daddy", while Hispanic girls will often call guys "poppy". In both cases it's meaningless in regards to daddy issues.

Most Helpful Guy

  • Typically a father who never gives approval so the child is always trying to make him happy.
That or trying to piss him off.

Most Helpful Girl

What Girls & Guys Said

  • No it’s when young woman goes for a guy her father’s age because she never had one or he never paid attention to her when she needed it

    • So basically has sex with someone of her father's age, right?

    • Yeah around that

    • Anonymous is completely wrong. The term daddy issues (typically accompanied by girls/women ages 11-21) is the erratic relationship dynamic from father and daughter, almost exclusively originating from puberty due to the crazy amount of emotions flying everywhere. examples of these issues range from the the dad "not understanding her" and the dad "not approving of her behavior" because she happens to express herself in a way he doesn't approve of. Typically "sexually suggestive" (intentionally or unintentionally), or even anything antagonistic to their father to be spiteful. That's the gist. That's why whenever you see someone on social media with an emolike old school edgy ambiance, someone mentions "daddy issues" bc sometimes they have that aesthetic going on
