I have gone a few months without masturbating or sex of any kind.
Eventually my psyche reaches an equilibrium, after weeks of agonizing self denial.
My body may have "Nocturnal emissions" to release pent up fluid, but even those begin to die down.
When I refrain from any form of sexual release I am happier, more adjusted, more emotionally stable, and dare I say, even more mentally aware. (A higher mental capacity)
Truth is any man can go a lifetime without sex or masturbation. The vast majority of men just don't want to. (Lack the self control)
I have tried to quit before, but never could if you know the secret I would love to hear it.
Of course masturbation is itself part of the overall sin of lust (in terms of looking at women with lustful eyes). If you tell me that you have overcome lust I would call you a liar. I suppose it is possible to take no action on those feelings though.
Jackblue, the only way to overcome the sin of lust as you put it, is to prescribe what Paul said: Cricify (Kill with agony, suffering, slowly- with pain!) your flesh (Your desires. What you want.) SImply put, you must deny yourself and what you want... What you think is good for you. Deny it... Because God's plan is better. There is no easy way out. Only the difficult of denying yourself the quick-pleasure way of relieving your sexual tensions. No easy way out. Sorry.
Since I became sexually active, MANY moons ago, the longest was 13 months. I was just married & about to deploy for my 2nd combat tour. I "foolishly" accepted a bet that I can go the whole deployment without masterbation. I won the bet, BARELY... & she "paid" of it as soon as I returned home >=}

Actually, overall, it wasn't. I stayed pretty busy. It was only when dealing with my then wife, via letters, emails, phone calls, & video chat that things got... hard. Women don't play fair when it comes to bets :P
Yea I'm sure it could. I mean if it was a challenge and he knew about it it would probably be a lot more difficult but some guys would probably just brush that time off like they don't even notice. I mean It may depend on age and maturity or some other factors though.

I have been injured and sick pretty bad a few times in my life and therefore did not have sex or masturbate. The duration was about 2 weeks or so max.
Yeah its pretty much impossible for me to go more than a week at that point i just start having slightly lucid sex dreams which FYI are the freaking shiz nit. Sometimes they're not even wet dreams, i just wake up with a giant boner which if ignore gives me blue balls. I mean girls say sex isn't a need but like, fuck you, im in pain if ignore this shit. I need sex as much as you need some advil when you're on your period.
It depends on the amount of stress I'm dealing with but, twice a day is quite normal and if I'm feeling sexualy frustrated that day then it's annoying if I don't rub one out before work. When I broke my right arm and couldn't do it for 50 days I thought I was going mad.

Sex is not considered vital to survival like food, air and water. Theoretically there is no limit to how long a man can abstain, and i guess the best proof lies in whatever number of men have been through comas and awakened none the worse for lack. It probably doesn't help a guy if he stimulates himself while foregoing, which will make the need arise where it need not. Also, you might note that guys who have been deprived might be more susceptible to things like short-shorts and bikinis, but as far as i know exposure to this is not life-threatening. You might also take some time to really examine your own curiosity about this. It is quite normal for women to wonder overall about the sexuality of men, and not always to perform better as men sometimes seek. Best of luck.
