What is the MAIN purpose of having sexy Cheerleaders in sports?

At first I wondered the same thing. I always thought we didn't have them in Wales. I even had to check if there was even a Welsh word for cheerleader. The closest I've found is codi hwyl which is interesting because because hwyl means fun and codi means to get up, raise, erection, that kinda thing. So effectively a cheerleader is someone who has fun with erections.

It can also mean raise the sails, generally something that lifts the spirits. But I think a more literal translation as erection fun is closer to the real purpose of a cheerleader.

I agree with that statement. But I can also say neither were my teammates. The crowd and cheerleaders are the last thing you are focused on while you are trying to perform your best
