Sexual Health Just to clarify, in my eyes incest is wrong. But WHY is it wrong in YOUR eyes? Is it physically or morally wrong or both?
I'm hoping to expand my thoughts in this for a psychology assignment.

When I say incest i mean generally a sexual relationship between immediate family. I don't view a cousin/cousin relationship as incest. I've lived where it's legal.

3rd cousins are not really all that related to you so its not all that bad i say if its a 3rd+ cousin go for it try to avoid 1st 2nd

Its not morally wrong unless its parent and child according to my morals. But all other incest is fine. As long as its between 2 consenting adults its no one elses business anyway.
It's seen as wrong because the gene pool is too close when it comes to children, which I agree. However if you're having an incestuous relationship and are planning on adopting/having no kids then that's where I can't argue against it or see it as bad.

i hope this isn't another sandplanet account. incest is a turn off for me. i know i have good looking relatives but the thought of a sexual relationship turns me off. its taboo for a reason. sex changes the dynamic of relationships.
"Just avoid the babies" Not that simple. If incest is made legal, incestuous babies WILL pop up. To stop that, it's illegal. But yeah, if a brother and sister were in love and used proper protection I'd be happy for them although a little weirded out.

I do not understand why its seen as bad. If you had a attractive sibling would you feel weird finding them attractive?

Father/daughter is fine, but other forms of incest are wrong according to what I have read in the Bible.
It's not wrong. Many wealthy families have 1st cousins, brother/sister pair up very often so they can keep the money in the family/ Syrian families very often do this.
The reason it is stigmatised is because it tends to have a higher increase risk of congenital birth defects associated with it and therefore discourage.
Logically, if you were part of a wealthy family, u would discourage your kids from dating outside too.
The same way incest is stigmatised is the same way people often stigmatise euthanasia or suicide.
