What is wrong with people?

Why are about half of the people on this app so fucking rude? I get this app is opinion based but there's a line between giving your opinion and then just being an asshole for no reason. I asked a question about people treating me differently due to my age, and one guy says I should've taken their advice (just read the other post for context...), And another just tells me "not to come here and whine about them." It was just context for my question. The first guy I mentioned wasn't a good person either. I looked at his profile and all he posts are these negative and unhelpful opinions. Some one asked if it was weird that they don't look at porn, and he called them boring! Then there were a bunch of his "opinions" on religious questions of him just blasting that religion doesn't exist, it's all fake, etc. Again, there's a line between GIVING YOUR OPINION, and BEING AN ASSHOLE. I get this is kind of a vent, but the last time I was on this app, most people were very helpful and kind, minus the people I mentioned in my first post, but now there's these guys coming up and bashing people, I see people like that on other posts. This app turned into a shit show of negativity.

People seem to feel like they have power behind a screen. Most people that are rude online seem to have problems in their general life. This is their outlet to take control and a voice. I personally wouldn't take any negative feedback seriously. There are a lot of good people who care on this app. Yet you will always have internet bullying.

Yeah, he isn't the only weirdo on here. A lot of guys older than him seem to say stuff to underage woman as well. That's why woman on here feel the need to ask questions anonymously so they aren't bothered in their DMs by creeps.
