The twist on the treat others how you want them to treat you is flawed.

It's why we have so many disagreements.

We force our beliefs onto others because we go I'm gonna treat them how I want to be treated.

Maybe they don't like that type of treatment.

Why not learn about that individual first and treat them how they want to be treated

My variation on the Golden Rule is that you should treat people the way they treat you, because that's obviously how they want to be treated. I start off showing respect and acceptance, though.

Nowadays peoples core maxim are as follows

"do as I say, not as I do"

"whats yours is mine and whats mine is mine"

As for someone like myself being very independent and hard working I have no tolerance for toxic or needy people So my core maxim is like i'm a mirror for example

"you get what you give" and "don't get mad if I pull a you on you"

Life is a two way street there is no "I" in team
