I think it should be legalized as long as it's regulated and safe for both the prostitutes and the customers.
Vote A
I think it should be illegal. It's too filthy and there's always a chance of catching STDs and other problems.

  • I think if a woman feels like that's her only choice... it's her choice.
I'm absolutely opposed to any form of pimping or trafficking because the likelihood of her being forced to do it against her will is as wrong as you can get. It's a form of slavery and that's never ok.

  • I don't really know why it's still illegal in the USA tbh. Well except Nevada...

Seems like it would help prevent the spread stds and keep girls safe if it was legal. Cause then they would need to get a license, they would need to get weekly std checks, and they won't be tied down to a pimp or working on the streets where it's both cold and dangerous.

I mean if you can regulate and legalize porn why can't you do the same with sex work? Women can choose to be sex workers if they want to. And guys can choose to use their services.

And besides I've seen tons of prostitutes when I drove by the more ghetto parts of town at night. So yeah just legalize it...

Altho I'm not sure how the feminists are going to feel about this. They've been pretty vocal on abortion, but I don't think there has been any talk about legalizing sex work.

  • It should be legal, and only freelancing prostitution, and partnership prostitution should be aloud. Both should be signed with governmental and client and customer agreements.

    • I am sure sex trafficking would be greatly affected by it.

  • Make it legal and taxed it

Then use the tax money on schools, fixing the healthcare system, fixing the roads and bridges, fixing the inner cities, etc

  • Sure its 186 billion dollar industry worldwide at a average 30% business tax that's 55 billion dollars in extra taxes as long as it's properly regulated it would be fine

  • Absolutely. Legalize, regulate (std tests) and tax it. Bring money to the goverment and stop worrying about what other people do behind closed doors.

If you're so uptight about it, don't do it. It's a victimless crime.

Legalizing prostitution would also reruce coerced sex trafficking because there wouldn't be a demand for it.

It would end underground cartels whose jobs are to kidnap, abuse and harm people because prostitution will be regulated and safer if it was legal.

  • Decriminalized and properly regulated.

  • it should be legal , i know many guys who are slave of their jobs , they have money but they almost have no time for anything else except working
the prostitutes can help those poor guys to remain sane

  • Perhaps it should be regulated to certain areas. In any event, I don't approve of prostitutes soliciting in places where most people shop, attend, school and live.

  • Illegal. Prostitution sorely debases a society and spreads sexual diseases and father less children.

  • E-thots are already a big thing. Much safer and probably more money in it.

  • as long as they pay their taxes, i dc what's legal

  • It should be legal and regulated, otherwise it will always be illegal, unsafe and sometimes abusive. And voluntarily prostitution doesn't harm anyone, so there is no problem.

  • Legal, heavily regulated and watched. So we make sure that people who do that are consenting, free of any influence, clean, and work in a safe environment.
And taxed too, as any "regular job".

    • If there were no drugs there wouldn’t be many prostitutes. Just saying.

    • @ShootShootBangBang Maybe, maybe not. But at least we'd know they are clean.

  • Sure it should porn is legal and all that's a form of prostitution

  • The oldest profession in the world. governments have been trying get rid of it for eon and eons not happening any time soon. Why try to do the impossible why not legalize it monitor it and give location outside family areas plus tax it and have medical inspections enforcement . There are people who need this for a verity of reasons so make it legal and safe and the locals make much needed tax money everyone wins. religious people may object but people can make up their own mind as to what they need not be told what they need by others who do not know why you need it.

  • I don't like it or agree with it, but I think it should be legal and federally regulated.

  • It's the oldest job in the world and I believe it should be legalized.

  • I personally don't care if a woman wants to sell it to men but the thing I disagree with is the shady stuff like ripping guy's off, drugging guy's, setting guy's up to be robbed, or a woman or male pimp putting their hands on the women!

  • As long as prostitutes are targeted for violence by men, they should be protected.
