What is your stance on "stealthing"?

If you don't know what the term "stealthing" means, it is basically non-consensual condom removal. And have later found out that I am a victim of this term. I think the act of stealthing is disrespectful and shows that the one who did it does not care about the other person's well being at all. It also shows how selfish they are and that they only think about themselves during the sexual act. I also believe that it should be an official crime, included as a form of sexual assault and sexual coercion. Not only that, but it puts the receiving partner at risk for STDs, STIs, or an unwanted pregnancy. What are your thoughts?
I think it is disgusting and should be labeled as a rape crime.

  • In many jurisdictions it is a form of sexual assault or rape.

Sexual consent is not just a blanket yes or no, it includes the manner in which the sex is done.

You consented to sex with a condom. When he removed that condom and entered you he did so in a manner that was no longer consensual.

  • It drastically increases the risk of sex, and can result in STD's or pregnancy. It should be labeled a crime, in line with rape, but depending on the repercussions of it. If no pregnancy/ std occurs, perhaps a 1 year felony, but if something does, up to 20 years.

  • I've been stealthed and really felt violated. I wound up pregnant.
I asked him to use a condom, and he agreed. He claimed he had to adjust his position. Eventually something didn't feel right. Then I saw the empty condom on the floor by the bed. He's paying child support.

  • I don't know why any "man" would want to stealth.

Is having an unexpected kid that sexy to them? They obviously have no idea what children are like if so.

  • there are too many genuine accidents with condoms to be able to make it a crime and get men before a judge but yes it is horrible and its certainly a reason for a woman to never see that guy again but also for her to warn others thats what he likes to do

  • I don't know about labeling as rape, but some sort of sex crime, definitely.

  • Yeah it's pretty jacked up. I've never done this before, but I always thought that women could feel the difference if there's a condom or not.

  • Consenting to protected sex is not consenting to unprotected sex.

  • We're strict about this in Sweden, that's why Julian Assange got the rape charge.

We got some shitty laws here but I respect that one.

  • I wish there were a greater degree of responses. I think stealthing is a pretty horrible way to treat someone, but I don't think it's right to call that a full sexual assault. What if the condom breaks, and the woman decides to report the guy as a rapist for revenge, or some such thing? I would vote for the addition of a sexual indiscretion misdemeanor. I feel like there needs to be a way to punish guys who misbehave without potentially destroying their lives.

  • It's very wrong agreed, at the same time their are many factors to consider in making it a criminal offence such as rape, what if the condom breaks but she claims stealthing?
    What if it falls off?
Maybe the charge of sexual misconduct would be more in order.

  • That a weird one I'm not sure how to answer that one that how I got my kids I was made but happy she poked holes in the condoms

  • I think it should be considered a rape crime. The woman agreed to have protected sex with a guy. She didn't agree for him to expose her to whatever he's got and she sure as hell didn't agree to him ejaculating inside her.
