What kinda lube for anal?

Trying to find out what the best kind is. Have tried anal but it starts to hurt after a while I’m thinking it’s because the live is drying

  • My wife and I do anal a lot and have tried everything over the years. We only use water based now. Here's why.

    Oil is a terrible lube. It's actually not as slick as water based, is a pain to clean up and it stains the sheets and pillowcases.

    Silicone has the advantage that it lasts longer, but it also is not as slick as water based lube. My wife says it feels "draggy" and she can't go as long because she ends up getting irritated during long anal sessions, so the longer lasting properties of silicone don't buy us anything anyway. Also, silicone lube will damage silicone toys, so you can't use it with them. We had a bottle that leaked in our toy drawer and ruined two of my wife's favorite butt plugs, which were made of silicone and were expensive. Silicone is also not as easy to clean up as water based.

    Water based is inexpensive, easily available and is the slickest of all the lube options. It won't damage toys, won't stain the sheets, is easy to clean up, and my wife says it's the most comfortable for her by far. The only downside is that it can dry up after a while, but that no big deal. Just add a little spit to reactivate the lube, or add more lube. Piece o' cake.

    Our favorite is the original KY personal lubricant (not KY Jelly), which is no longer available because they reformulated it, and the new formula sucks. We have been using Astroglide and it is almost as good, but far better than oil or silicone.

  • You can buy anal lube online, in my opinion which is better than standard KY or anything. It does seem to last longer. Just remember to put some towels down since it does stain and shower afterwards.

  • I would say silicone-based unless you're using a toy. If you're using a toy you want to go with water-based

  • Water based lube tends to be absorbed or dry out and needs to be replenished occasionally. You can use it for anal but the guy has got to replenish it by dripping some lube on his dick when he is on the outstroke and then carrying the lube inside you on the in stoke.

    Silicone doesn't get absorbed and doesn't lose its lubrication but it is ore diffcult to clean up afterwards. It also is not something I would ever want to taste if you are into getting a rim job.
