  • There are a TON of reasons i personally would consider a girl "pump and dump"... and like almost every guy here would say, honestly, they bring it on themselves. You put sex on such a high pedestal that after a while... it ain't about you anymore lol
    here's a trick honey, when a guy approaches a girl...8 times out of 10 he wants to get to know HER. Sex is inevitable. but he wants to know HER first... but then she starts thinking Sex is All that is on his mind and starts acting a certain sort of way... unknowingly dragging him away from her and towards sex only.
    So when the sex happens, and he dumps... its not his fault. Any woman can challenge me on this... i have always ALWAYS researched and noticed this... most men dont wanna pump and dump... women make them do it.

  • I never thought quite like that even when I was most promiscuous. It might vary from guy to guy, but I always wanted to give things a proper shot and see how they go before making up my mind. One night stands didn't make sense to me because of that unless things went very poorly, since then I'd want to repeat that same pleasant experience and get to know the person much better.

    For some guys maybe all girls are "pump and dump". In my case, if I ever slept with a girl only for us to break things off not long after, then usually it was a feeling on one or both of our parts that we were very attracted to each other but wouldn't be so good for each other long-term. So we kept it at a sort of fling type of thing.

    • One case which made long-term relationships very impractical is that I often had to travel a lot for my work to foreign countries. But on top of that, because I was a foreigner, sometimes I'd be staying temporarily at a country and start dating another foreigner, not from that country, who is also only temporarily staying there. That made it so one or both of us often had to leave and travel far away not long after we met (maybe just a couple months of being able to see each other, tops, before departing). So that kind of situation would generally turn into a fling if we dated at all.

    • That said, I never quite saw it as "pump and dump". If the only appeal a girl had to me was sexual and I was already thinking of breaking up before we even started dating, I just wouldn't bother dating in the first place. I could find another one that I'd think there's a chance I could pump without dumping, so to speak.

  • Although no girl deserves to be dumped, except for cheaters, the type of girls who mostly end up used and dumped are : girls who are too easy and are ready to sleep with the guy on the first date, vulnerable girls who can be easily manipulated and used, then dumped.

Would you agree with me if I said "no man deserves to get dumped, except for cheaters?"? Hopefully not, I wouldn't want anyone, man or woman, staying with abusive partners just because their partner is loyal.

    • @nofunkgiven Maybe I am just being nitpicky, I just find it dishonest to say things like that. It kind of makes it seem like you are saying guys are bad if they dump a loyal girl. Relationships don't end based on what either person deserves, but whether or not both parties want to remain in the relationship. No loyal, hard working, caring guy deserves to get dumped, but they do. Sorry if this seems rude of overly nitpicky, I do agree that loyal, non-abusive people don't deserve to be broken up with, I just feel like phrasing it like that almost sounds like you're saying they deserve to not be broken up with. Maybe I'm just injecting bias, if so, then I apologize.

    Depends on the guys really, since everyone has different tastes. One guy might think a girl is wife material and another might think she is decent girlfriend material and another might is just terrible and worth nothing more than a pump and dump.

    If she has too much baggage, has a history of cheating, doesn't want kids, etc. Basically red flags that you wouldn't mind if you're only hooking up but are deal breakers for anything more serious.

  • I never really considered people as being "pump and dump" material, especially since I don't endorse hook up culture. But a girl that would say yes to going to bed with whatever came along (and they are out there), I would avoid them. If I am interested in someone, and the first thing they want to do is take it to the bedroom, then I'm dealing with someone that can be too easily had, and therefore, for the streets.
