What really is an asexual? I'm confused. Do they really exists?

Are you either bisexual, gay or straight?

  • An asexual person has no desire to ever have sex of any kind.

    • Thanks for the mho

  • Right. All these stupid terms.

    • Why does that need a term. You don’t like sex or want sex. Not good enough so you get asexual , pansexual. Fuck never stops. People like to be referred to as furries too. Time to put all the fruit cakes on a boat

  • Yes, they exist. It means a number of different things. It could be someone who has an interest in sex, but is attracted to neither men nor women nor anyone. So many of them they may get horny, masturbate, watch porn, even have sex just for the physical gratification. Or it could mean someone with no libido for others, but might still experience some attraction, and maybe still be horny and masturbate. Or no interest in anything sexual, but still have romantic attraction to others.

There are also people who have different degrees of attraction, who can use the graysexual label (it's a joke because the color symbol of asexuality is black, so gray is a lesser degree of black). It just means the same of above, but maybe not always, or maybe with some small degree of sexual attraction. It doesn't necessarily describe a sexual orientation, i. e. you can be straight/gay/bi/etc and also graysexual.

You probably heard of demisexual which falls under graysexual and is becoming very common. It means that your sexual attraction is not always there, and that often you need to form a connection with a person before you can feel sexual attraction.

All these labels are not really normative. Human sexuality has a LOT of variety and nuance, so these are just words that can be used to describe some aspects. But "asexual" is very important because it acknowledges that not everybody has sexual attraction.

    1. One not involving sexual activity, feelings, or associations; nonsexual.

    2. A person who has no sexual feelings or desires, or who is not sexually attracted to anyone.

I basically means they don't get horny or want to have sex or see other people as being sexy or attractive. These are the types that like companionship, but would never really get into sex... they would be fine only having sex like once a month, if ever, and then only if you really pressed the issue. There is usually some other underlying phycological issue or insecure behind it... but they would be fine living their entire life without having sex if they could get around it.

Has nothing to do with being gay, bi or straight... actually most asexual types are straight... because if you are gay or Bi that means you have sexual desires for same sex relationships. Asexual have no sexual desires... man, women or other wise.

  • Many girls are asexual, it much more rare among guys, guy tend to be more sexual than girls.

  • Someone who has no sexual intrest

  • Asexuals are, basically, people who just have no interest in sex and yes they exist

  • Asexual is when you don’t have sexual attraction at all and aren’t interested in sex.

asexuals still have emotional attraction though and still get in relationships. So I would imagine asexuals also have a romantic orientation such as gay, straight, bi, etc.

  • Someone who doesn’t want to have sex, at all.

  • Yeah they exist, they are not interested in sex with either male or female
