What’s something rude someone said to you while you (or your wife/girlfriend) were pregnant?

We got together with neighbors tonight and the subject of my husband’s hip surgery came up (that is a story for a different day). Anyway my neighbors didn’t seem to remember it so I refreshed their memory. One neighbor was so kind as to see me shoveling my driveway and come over and snowblow mine before his.

Well, the following summer at a block party his wife noticed I was pregnant and said “his hip surgery must not have been that bad if he got you pregnant.” I deadpanned, looked her straight in the eye and said “some people can balance just fine on one leg.” HEY-OH!

  • One winter some of my ex-wife's family came up to visit and there is like six of them so they just wanted to stay in a hotel she was pregnant at the time with my son. And we get there and it's snowing like crazy she had this down pillow that she wanted to give to her mom. So I stuck it up underneath my coat so it wouldn't get wet and we took off for the building when we walked in there was a guy standing there. He looked at us and he said. Look twins. She was pregnant I had the pillow in my stomach. My ex looked at him. And she said what do you say. And he said OMG I was just kidding. And she said what did you say. And he said oh I was just teasing I said oh look twins. And he goes you know because the bellies you're pregnant and she looks at him. And then she looked at me and she said in a Bitchie voice. I told you these pants make my butt look big. to me. And then she looked at him and said I'm not even fucking pregnant she is and she pointed to me and I just shook my head up and down like yes and she storms off to the elevators. of of course I walked behind her saying. Babe, babe, are you okay babe , I look back at him. And said dude I can't believe you called her fat. He said said no no I didn't I didn't I didn't call her fat and I can't I caught up to her we got on the elevator we both laughing our asses off

    Dark skin.
    Black shiny curly hair.
    Big brown eyes.
    Our daughters came out white.
    Like Norwegian white, like their dad. Blonde hair, light brown eyes (mine are green)
    We joke that the nights of conception are after we came home after drinking and dancing and when we're having sex she passed out. I had pre approval to fuck the until I'm satisfied.
    So since I did all the work my daughters look mostly like me.

    So, as we're walking through the mall, her carrying our baby in her arms dumbass bitch women are asking her "is that your baby?"
    Pissed her and me off so much. Such stupid people.

    • @andres77 I meant to tell you, I had a friend in college who’s Norwegian genes were really strong too. Her dad was darker complected, all kids were blonde hair blue eyes. Her boyfriend was half hispanic half Italian, again baby was born with blonde hair and blue eyes.

    • Yup, there's no denying my genes. Even the birthing crew was shocked my girls were so white. Now my girls hate that they're so white with all the political and racial bullshit going on. Between my little bit of native American blood and my wife's my girls are at least half native American. But they'd not look out of place in Norway.

  • With my first son I was pregnant in high-school and got rude comments everyday. Worst of it came from the teachers. Many of them telling me how I could never afford a baby and that I needed to look into putting him up for adoption.
    With my second and now third pregnancy since my husband has been deployed I get a lot of comments about what I'll do if he dies overseas and how ill raise the kids. Not sure if they're actually curious but it always comes off as extremely rude 😒

  • The worst thing wasn’t actually said to me, but about me. The first time I was pregnant, when word got out around the office I heard one of the guys say, “See, dude. I told you she’s a slut.” I shut my office door and cried.

    • OMG, OMFG, I can’t even. What? Whyyy would someone say that?

    • He was an asshole. The guy he said it ti defended me. He was like, she’s not a slut. She’s married. That helped a little, but it still really hurt my feelings.

  • I do not think that ever happened. Except that we got married in January and lots of people thought that she was pregnant and that is why we got married in the winter. Then we got pregnant right away so it was a rumor until my son was born in November.
