What's the appeal of a "golden shower"?

That's just gross in my opinion lol. Why is it a fetish? Ew lol.

  • It is just a "fetish" like so many other out there. A fetish is defined as "a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc." Some people can simply not be sexually satisfied without it. For some people it is feet, for some it is S & M, it is different for every person.

    For some people they don't have a sexual fetish. Some people enjoy doing things, or looking at particular things but it isn't a requirement for them to get off.

    For me, certain aspects of golden showers are fun, but most I can take or leave, they don't do a lot for me sexually. My wife on the other hand really enjoys several aspects of "golden showers" and is quite turned on by them. She can't pinpoint exactly why it is but it is.

    With her receiving the "golden shower" she says she really enjoys the warmth of it. I pointed out to her that there was more to it than that as "warmth" usually doesn't get you sexually aroused but she still hasn't been able to figure out what exactly about it she enjoys so much.

    I figure if she enjoys it and wants it, I am happy to help her out. We all have the things we like and dislike. I say to each their own. While I might not understand it I figure, what the hell, it isn't illegal and isn't hurting anyone, might as well have fun.

    • Well said. Personally I agree with the warmth of it but to add a couple of reasons I like about the whole experience. Firstly I wouldn't do this with a stranger or just anyone in a sense where most wold have sexual intercourse, so on top of the exitement of the hot liquid feeling it's about the trust and intimacy with the person you're doing this with. Then being a hetro guy I love her anatomy where it comes out of. Medically it's not unsafe if few precautions are taken, Odour or taste not a problem if body intake is adjusted for purpose. Then there is role playing as well. So for us those reasons and a couple combined are the reason it's a turn on. It's a taboo topic we get drilled in to us from birth in a sense so most won't experience this. Each to their own, just saying. I'd never judge anyone about it but those of youse who tried this and enjoyed it might understand me a little better and those of you who haven't shouldn't really be here on the topic or have an opinions.

  • Personally, I have no idea. I'm not into it but there are fetoshes for just about anything you could think of. If I had to guess, I would say it may be about asserting dominance which would appeal to some people who are heavily into the dom/sub thing.

  • Well, if it is a fetish, that would mean it is the primary way someone gets aroused.

    Some people like it, but it isn't a fetish... it is just a component of sexual play. Some like it simply because it is taboo. I'm a little interested in it as part of "FemDom" play. It really isn't gross, in the sense that pee is normally sterile, but it certain can be messy unless it is done in the shower or bathtub -- or outdoors.
