What's the longest you would've gone with me without having sex?

My boyfriend and I are nearly 8 months into the relationship and nope, we haven't had sex nor done anything sexual acts yet; only making-out, hugging and holding hands. We're in a rush for other things (progressing with our finances, saving money, trying to grow my online business, him working on his apartments, etc) but not sex. We're not living together either.

Guys be honest, if you were my boyfriend what's the longest would you've gone with me without sex? I've only been in one previous long-term relationship. He's my 2nd boyfriend.

Superb Opinion

  • In all my relationships, I have gone sexual pretty quickly….. days and weeks, not months. It’s something I enjoy as part of a relationship. I never put pressure on it, and it just happens when it feels right. 8 months would be frustrating for me…. but that being said, there’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing, sex is personal and different for everyone

    • yeah everyone is different. Some people find sex very important and can't wait while others like me have no problem with waiting for longer periods. In my case, I liked his suggestion of waiting till marriage. I was going to make him wait either way but when he told me that, it took pressure off my chest; I don't have to worry about him going sexual, making moves or trying to pressure me into cohabitation.

  • 12 month while on deployment. Came back to my family and skipped out of the welcome home party to my bedroom with my girl, we were hot and heavy and as soon as she took off her top to reveal those pert boobs I came in my pants. I suffered premature ejaculation for about two months after coming home. Tried again after that, she was going to give me a blowjob but as soon as she put her hand on my dick I blasted all over her face

  • I'd respect your wishes and wait.

  • About 8 weeks. If you weren't dragging me into bed at that point I would assume you don't have much desire and long term it wouldn't work.

    • Thank you for your honest answer. A month would be way too soon indeed.

    • When I was dating online, mostly it happened after three dates. I never had to ask and wouldn't have.

    • Not asking doesn't mean being uninterested.

  • Over two years. Experimented a lot with masturbation techniques, including Ewww ones.

  • Huh? With you, what?

    • If you were in a relationship with a woman in her 30's, low-count (she has only been in 1 long-term relationship and it failed) but she's the serious type, how long would you go without sex?

    • She’ll get the dick when she either says she wants it. Or gives hints that she wants it

    • I'll follow through with what we agreed with (after he suggested it to me). We're actually dating in the old-fashion way.

  • Maybe a month? Or longer? Many factors to take in which none are listed.

    • Usually a reserved, low-count woman like me won't jump into bed so fast. Casual sex is something foreign to me. I'm glad I don't have to feel pressure for sex into the relationship nor doing cohabitation with him.

  • The real question is whether you have cheated on him during those 8 months

    • No I haven't. Like mention, we're focusing on other things in the relationship.

    • Good I hope he isn't cheat on you then

    • *cheating

  • No more than 2 years

  • Too long, people masturbate it just happens.

    • I feel this is the greatest deal for me. I don't have to worry about getting pressured for sex (him making moves for it) nor getting pressured into moving in together. He suggested himself waiting till marriage so ok, I said yes to that offer.

    • Good for you.

    • Self control is hard

  • There is smth wrong with that tbh

    • My initial plan was to make him wait but he beat me at it himself. He suggested (his mouth, not mine) waiting till marriage so great I took that offer. He suggested what benefits/favors the woman the most. By him suggesting that, he took a weight off my chest. I don't have to worry about getting pressured for sex in the relationship nor coming up with excuses of why I don't want to do cohabitation with him.

  • I'd be willing to go about 3 months. It would be somewhat negotiable as far as what would be enough after that... like giving each other oral vs. having sex.
