I was wanting some insight from men and women who have used these platforms. I just want to know what your general experience was. Was it positive or negative. Was it fun? Is it easy to meet people who have the same intentions you have?
Tinder works okay for me most of the time. Nover heard of POF before.

I don’t do online dating anymore. I either meet time wasters or People who aren’t interested in dating or people who just don’t like me once they meet me or the worst which was someone I thought I was actually dating who I found out was cheating on me after he gave me chlamydia from who he was cheating with!
So nah. Not for me. Waste of time. Waste of emotions. Some of us aren't meant to meet people I guess.

I've used them all. Tinder is for hookups. I found a couple of hookups and one night stands. POF is ok, some people were full of theirselves. Meet up with a few people from POF. OKC was better 2-3 years ago than it is now. Met up with a couple of people. I only kept in contact with two people from it for a while.

After that, they give you some matches, mostly fake bots lmao Same deal with all the other hookup websites, they block messages and matches from users. E-harmony and stuff are the only legitimate dating sites

@XMan0025 Its a myth lol, people just lie about it. Even in colleges and uni's, lies, there's no hookups. You have to either 1. get somewhere in life, women like successful men. no doubt about it! especially for any hookup, it is still highly unlikely 2. Get a girlfriend that is in a similar boat as you are. No sex, have to like the person and work for it. 3. Go to a hooker, which is what I've done and its the worst out of the two. Not even the money thing, they stink and you think it will be all that, but only lasts 5-7 mins. Think about it, why are there guys with perfect bodies sitting on Omegle looking for cam sex. Do any of those 3 for gods sake and you won't end up being a old man with porn membership. These type of men also pretend to be girls on porn sites just to talk to younger guys. In general, tinder sucked and I mainly got guys who only wanted to hook up or were complete douche bags. But I did meet my boyfriend of 1 year on there eventually so I do think it can work

I'm not too fond of tinder, as standards on tinder and standards irl rarely coincide. I often get rejected by women on tinder that I could get irl. To me it's just a hookup site, but those with good pictures win. You may never know the actual person behind them

I did and got hurt fairly often by the men I met on there. It's partly my fault since I always give too much of myself to strangers, but the one guy I did actually hook up with was fairly nice. It's a gamble.

I've been using tinder consistently since it came out. I love it. I've met so many of my best friends on there as well as my wife. It's a wonderful way to meet people. I've never tried to use it to 'hook up' with someone though.

Yes it is fun to socialize with people and potentially meet them. Unfortunately it is very much a casual sex kind of area. Most of my experiences have led to friendship but not love.
