I live in India and here casual sex is considered slutty. Because sex is considered to be done with love and one who stays lifelong according to the culture here. A lot of people even wait for marriage. But yeah things are changing among youngsters.

For millenniums of recorded history of major world religions and cultures, sex is dignified, if not treated with sacredness. In those days, whoever visited a whore was frowned upon and regarded as unholy.
It was only in this century that promiscuity is accepted as a social norm and having sex with whores (even for a virgin guy) is acceptable.

Short-term it seemed to benefit.
But this Site has shown how complex relationship has become. It leads to the increase in broken marriages and dysfunctional relationships. Girls can't find guys who who are sincere and hence mistrusting. And sincere guys lamented girls avoided them over petty remarks and actions. As a result, both genders are lonely and lead unfulfilling lifestyles.
Personally I feel that the traditional "save your virginity until marriage" as wise. This is because many statistics have shown that the more body count a person has, the higher chance for a broken marriage.
Hence, no to casual sex. It could be cool for a short term. But long-term, it's not good.

I'm older so beck in the late 70s and 80s was a great time.
Casual sex was very popular.
It was not difficult to bring home someone different from a bar, or where ever every night.
There was even a great song don't the girls all look prettier at closing time.
Do what you feel comfortable with, just because it works for you, that doesn't that the others should judge you, or that you should let it bother you.

Sex is human nature. And not everyone has the luxury of having a romantic relationship. Casual sex shouldn’t be as frowned upon as it is. And it’s funny, usually the ones frowning on it, are the ones who can’t get any! Other than cultural beliefs ofcourse.
