My take - Use sex toys with a partner or alone even if you have one! :D
I think any way you slice it is fine, if it's what you want to do! I like sex, and that requires a person. However, I also went through a period of being terrified of STDs and avoiding casual sex. I think masturbation and sex toys were great as a way to explore your own body - very important! Also, I orgasm more when masturbating alone - with fingers and vibrator. Orgasm during sex is hard for most women and that varies so much depending on your partner and how confident you are in taking care of things yourself with another partner / teaching them.
I realized later that it wasn't just STD fear, but also some vulnerability and anxiety issues. So I guess that's my real take - figure out what other things are lurking behind your fear of STDs. Therapy is great! If there's a friend you would hookup with, you could try forming some kind of friend with benefits situation, which often has more established trust there and honesty. You can also find someone online, but that has very mixed results, as you don't know them and haven't established trust. My fear of STDs has made me cautious, but once I realized I was probably overly-worried about it, I had fun! One thing I couldn't ever do is condoms for blow jobs or dental damns. One of my friends always uses a condom on blow jobs, which I love. I've never had an STD to this day. I did get tested regularly and I asked the guys questions about it.

I use them for myself because I enjoy them. But I have sex IRL too.

There's no intimacy with a sex toy. I don't care how advanced it is unless we're talking about AGI indistinguishable from a human (in which case they won't be a sex toy, because they'll be able to refuse to have sex).
If you want an organism I don't see why anyone needs a sex toy. Maybe women might benefit more. I don't know how that works as well as guys. But saying a sex toy is an alternative to people for your sexual needs is saying the humanity and intimacy of people don't matter, and maybe that's true for some people but it definitely isn't for me.
0 0 0 0Sex toys are awesome. If you're just using them for yourself then yes you'll avoid disease and pregnancy. But... for most folks sex is necessary for a healthy adult human life. There's a point after which just toys doesn't work and you need another human.

0 11I don't have sex toys, but I think that it's better for a girl to use sex toys than being a ho.
0 0 0 0Honestly, I had never really considered them as an option in order to protect you from disease. I have always considered them and enhancement for self pleasure, or an exciting thing to do with your partner. Taking into consideration that there are no possibilities of transmitting, a disease, I would think that sex toys are a much better option than “playing the field“.
1 0 0 0There fine and the end of the day if you enjoy what your doing thats all that matters
0 0 0 0Sex toys are in addition to whatever you want to do with each other. They enhance the experience. And, if your partner is not available, a sex toy, used correctly, can relieve that hidden tension.
0 0 0 0I think sex toys are the bomb and would gladly use them to give my girl intense pleasure everywhere if she wasn’t already getting it.
0 0 0 0Lol! I didn’t really finish that thought… sorry! I meant to say that I would gladly use to give my girl intense pleasure all over her body but don’t think that they qualify as substitutes for anything and if you are choosing to be sexual then just be sensible about it. But you can’t pout that kind of pressure on toys. They don’t match up to the level of pleasure a partner who can read your body language can give you.
We love sex toys and incorporate it in the bedroom! Great for foreplay and also using during!
0 0 0 0Love sex toys. Still have sex after using them on her. But, if she's not in the mood for sex, toys are the best.
For real joy, use a toy. Lol
0 0 0 0Hi there , sex toys are great and can be a lot of fun when your with out a partner and even with one ,, and yes its a better way to be safe from disease etc ,, but as far as that goes just be smart with the guys or ladies you bring home or what ever that is ok.. have fun enjoy life and be smart and safe always.
0 0 0 0Sec toys are great. Spice things up.
0 0 0 0There is alway some inherent risk in sex, even protected sex. If you aren’t comfortable taking that risk or a suitable sex partner is unavailable a sex toy is a good option. It’s a personal decision each person needs to make on their own, in there own time.
1 0 0 0I would definitely like to have protected sex
