What would happen if all men suddenly became asexual for an entire year?

Just to reiterate men being asexual NOT “gay”. Guys might still sleep with women just as favor to get their needs met or if they want kids. But other than that men would no longer show sexual interest in anybody.

Here would be the benefits:

• Male initiated sexual assaults and harassment would drop to virtually nothing.
• Less violence amongst males competing for “dominance”.
• Cat calling would be a thing of the past.
• Coerced/illegal sex trafficking would be (almost) cease. Although there might be an uptick in women hiring prostitutes/gigolos (which is a rare occurrence to begin with).
• Dildo says would definitely sky rocket.
• Men would focus much more on productive endeavors

Although many women might be initially relieved the following female benefits would near vanish:

• most legit sex workers would be out of a job. Only fans scammers would see their business vanish overnight. Strip clubs would go out of business. Many night clubs would shut down
• The porn industry would take a huge hit. Yes a lot more women watch porn nowadays but it’s still mostly for guys.
• Women would lose all “paid for” benefits on first dates and being a woman in general. No more free meals, gifts, favors
• The friendzone would vanish. Men would immediately quit paying attention to and being “friends” with women who have no interest in them. There would be far fewer male/female “friendships” period. However the friendships that do still happen would be genuine (at least from the man’s side)
• Any special female advantages to act irrational and overly emotional would be much less tolerated. Men don’t tolerate that from other men. They only tolerate it from women for Freudian reasons.
• Feminism would get a much needed major reckoning. Sexual abuse was their number one grievance for decades. Now they no longer have any excuse to bitch & be victims

Anyway this is a pipe dream fantasy of course. However it would finally show women how much power their sexuality really has.

Nah you underestimate the male sex drive. Even good men secretly get occasional wild ideas of promiscuity. But they have it under control given their strong moral compass. Overall this would be a huge eye opener for women. Devastating eye opener. Sure some men would still appreciate companionship from good women and want to have kids. But overall this would radically change everything. The only group of people I would feel sorry for are legitimate decent women now having to deal with extreme sexual frustration and less male attention.

Legitimately decent men will always be interested in marrying legitimately decent women. And legitimately decent women have never had problems finding legitimately decent men. That will always be true, because being legitimately decent means that you are looking to love a person because of who they are, not because of their genitals or how they make your genitals feel. And because relationships of legitimately good people are not dependent on how they make each other's genitals feel but rather is based around pleasing and loving eachother, legitimately good men will continue pleasing their legitimately good wives by doing things they love with them, just as we always do with any activities we do together. This would only radically change life for sluts, which is wonderful in my opinion.

You really don’t understand men. That is the whole idea of this take. To force women to see everything from a different PoV vs. always judging everything from their own and what they take for granted. Sure there are plenty to legitimate good men out there who want marry and have kids. But a man HAS to feel at least some sexual attraction to his wife for this to happen. At least initially. If this wasn’t true then you would see a lot more men dating and marring unattractive women for their personalities. You would also see more male prostitutes willing to sleep with obese and/or very unattractive women. Not saying it’s right men are so visual. But attraction is like a leg on a table for us. If it’s weak the relationship will be shaky. If not there the table will fall over.

People understand the sorts people who are most similar to them and who they keep the most company with, thus I understand decent men better than you do. But I have no doubt that you understand sluts of both gender much better than I do, since I actively avoid any close association with them.

You literally said I am not a “good guy” in response to me telling you that you don’t understand men. Men are literally biologically constructed to procreate with as many women as possible. One man get get several women pregnant in one evening. Testosterone levels also give us impulses to do this. Any healthy man good or bad feels this. That is NOT something you can or ever will understand. But OF COURSE there are good men out there who really want to find one decent woman, marry and have kids. But the woman’s very appearance will impact his ability to procreate. He needs to at least find her arousing enough to get it up. But if all men were asexual then this would be a major problem for obvious purposes. I think a part of you deep down knows about the power structure women have due to their sexuality would be at great stake here. That’s scary. But fortunately for women this will never happen. But honestly I wish it would for just a year. It would be a huge eye opener. Oh by the way I’ve been in two long term relationships with average looking women. I didn’t date them on appearance but more for their personalities and how they treated me. I really tried to force myself to look deeper. I can tell you this never works out well. Ever.

I know about two dozen good men who I regularly see and know well, and not a single one of them would agree with you or even respect you. I would tell you that you could do your own survey by going around and asking the good married men you know what they thought of your opinion, but since good men avoid men like you, you wouldn't know enough men to be able to do that. Also, having two drawn out failures as relationship I literally does the opposite of giving you credibility for giving good relationship advice.
