Whats the difference between sexy and sex appeal?

Sex appeal to me is deeper and more serious than just being sexy. A guy is sexy if he’s good looking with a fun, charming vibe and I’m moderately physically attracted to him. But a guy with sex appeal breeds a more intense attraction, like even if I barely saw him or spoke to him I’ll remember him for a while afterwards. Sexy is light-hearted but sex appeal is more vivid and impacting.

Sexy is nice body. Sex appeal is at a more mental and emotional level to me.

Hmm. Interesting. I'm not sure if I like the way I'm going to say this...
Sexy can be a state. Hot. Cold. Sexy. But it can also be a feeling, an emotion that one has inside themselves, irrespective of others. It could be for someone, or for yourself. Either way, it feels good. Nice to be able to conjure that up sometimes.
Sex appeal seems to be more about quantifying a person, as in... their value. Eugh. Kind of makes me think of curb appeal. You have 9 seconds to make a good first impression when you're selling your house and somebody drives up. You have much less than that online, encapsulating your entire self into one image, to start. Yowzers. Better think about that one for a bit. Or, marketing, sharmarketing. "Take me for who I am" he/she says. Well, maybe a little of both.
