Masochism is when you derive pleasure from having pain inflicted upon you.
Sadism is when you derive pleasure from inflicting pain upon others.
But what is "Schadenfreude"?
This post is a direct result of a pink Anon posting this question... "Is it weird to get turned on by rape?"
Here is what she said in the body of her post...
"When I was young (11) I liked to watch movies about pregnant women in tough and life threatening situations. Then it developed into liking rape scenes, then abuse and even incest but specifically a man's violence towards a woman.
I have no idea what the root of this is. I was assaulted but it has no correlation to my preference and happened before I figured out why I like specific scenes so much. I didn't enjoy what happened to me which leads me to believe I wouldn't actually enjoy rape. But I can't help but fantasize. Something about dominance, male strength, taking something and being a woman who is defeated and forced. Whenever there are rape scenes my stomach gets odd feeling almost like butterflies but with an urge.
I know rape fantasy is semi normal but I have had an sexual obsession with male violence towards women from a very young age and want to find out why"
"Schadenfreude" is when you derive pleasure from seeing someone else in pain that you did not directly inflict yourself but was either self-inflicted by the person in pain or inflicted on them by a third party (someone other than yourself).
Shadenfreude translates from German as ‘harm-joy’, is the strange pleasure that we experience in response to another person’s misfortune.
You can find more detail about this behavior at this link...
Why do we like to see others suffer?
Have you ever felt this way?
When was the last time you experienced Schadenfreude?

3 27I don't get turned on by rape and I don't think anyone else does either. I think people who think they do, have deep rooted problems
The post is making it seem like some kind of twisted sadism, lol. Schadenfreude is like someone excitedly walking around with their new icecream just for them to drop it. I can certainly laugh at that
If you have never laughed about someone's head being pushed into a cake, are you even human?
I voted E. If they deserve pain, such as a pedofile, an abuser, etc. that’s ok. But not people I like, especially the woman I know. I want to to experience the greatest pleasures known, orgasms, and I certainly enjoy making them cum multiple times.
The only ones I enjoy seeing suffer are idiot politicians and dumbass celebrities.
I'm guilty, yesterday
I don't like that stuff I rather love my woman the way of he being my Queen
I try to limit my sadism to schadenfreude.
I just opened this up and skim through the reading. I think you need to get some help.
