When you and your partner spend the night together, what is your favorite position. . . for going to sleep?

My favorite position is spooning, with me behind her, my arm around her and my hand resting on her boob. I call it my "sleep handle."

Well, my wife and I cuddled A LOT. To be honest, I often think cuddling is the equal of sex itself.

When we cuddled, we would either spoon, and I was always the big spoon, or we would cuddle with her head resting on my shoulder/chest.

However, as much as I longed to cuddle her all night, I simply could never fall asleep doing so, so at some point, I had to gently scooch over and fall asleep. I didn't *like* it that way, it was a necessity.

I have enough trouble sleeping with someone hanging over me. It sounds romantic to cuddle when going to sleep, but reality is another story. Short time might be okay, but when it comes time to actually make ZzZzZZ it's back off and let me sleep.

@Bluemax I used to be heavy and was a side sleeper because it was too uncomfortable to sleep on my back or stomach. After I lost a lot of weight I just sleep on my side by habit. But I roll over and from side to side when I sleep. I also have to get up to use the bathroom a couple times a night so it is hard for someone to sleep in the same bed as me because I disturb their sleep by my moving around. Even my sister wouldn't sleep in the same bed with me, only my cat. So like I said, it would be good to snuggle for awhile but I'm pretty certain no guy would want to sleep in the same bed as me. :(

Before going to sleep: big spoon or facing each other. I prefer to separate before going to sleep. That makes it easier for her to steal the blanket though.

Back when I was with my ex, I got to realize how incredibly uncomfortable it was for me to cuddle while trying to sleep. I thought I would love that, but I TOTALLY HATED IT. So I would say in the same bed, but on opposite sides. I think that's close enough to the other person, but still leaves me room to sleep in any position I like

I live in Japan and both my boyfriend and I have single beds in our apartments. The only way for two people to sleep in a single bed is like literally on top of each other.

I imagine if your apartment in Japan is anything like an apartment in Tokyo, you are living in basically a closet. It is probably as big overall as a king size bed.

Oh wow 😂 Where I live it's the opposite and we always get huge beds for everyone, the concept is that the furniture here is very durable and can last for decades so if you buy a large bed you can share it with your future spouse and children and the next generation can also use them. The bed in my room is so big that three or four people can easily sleep together.

@CubsterShura Beds are meant to last no longer than 10-15 years - or less depending on materials used and the maker. The longer you have a bed the more your back is going to be hurting.

It is but I never sleep with it on. I catch colds very easily. If I have the ac on I turn it off right before going to sleep and keep the ceiling fan on instead.

Our sleep patterns are very different, so we do use separate rooms.
Since my shoulder surgery on one side, and possible surgery needed on the other, I have a very hard time positioning my right shoulder so it doesn't hurt, and I have to be able to move it around freely, much though I like the idea of spooning her.
