Females are more likely to have same sex encounters during a dry spell, than males. There is less or no stigma at all attached to women having same sex sexual encounters, for a male there are consequences. Add to it that sexuality seems to be fluid for most women, time and time again I have heard women say. I will or have let another girl eat me out, but I am not touching or I did not touch her sexually and the other women are fine with it. I worked with a guy that admitted he had taken blowjobs from other guys when things got tight, and he was basically ostracized socially after that. We worked with him, but he was never invited out for drinks after work after that and I have heard about other guys that similar things happened to after admitting to being willing to get or having gotten a brojob. Let a guy admit he would or has penetrated another guy, and he is labeled as a homo forever. I have yet to hear about a female being ostracized, for saying she would or had a sexual encounter with other females.
Guys are so curious about dicks, they are just too afraid to admit it.

It’s men according to statistics about 3.7% of the male population is gay, and about 2.8% of the female population is lesbian. That “10%of the population is gay” statistic, is from a survey a while back that asked if you’ve ever has a same sex encounter, including childhood experimentation! Sorry I don’t have a source for you, I just remember the numbers (approximate) from a question I answered a week or so ago.

Women are generally more comfortable with being with other women and they're less judged if they do it than men. However I've heard many stories of men who got BJ's from other men without being attracted to males.

In my experience, males. There are a lot of straight males on Grindr just looking for a blow job. I try to avoid the married ones, when I can figure that out.
