In my own experiences I have noticed a lot more females cheating on their male partners. BUT, that doesn't mean that's how it is. Unfortunately, I don't have enough statistics and it would be heavily dependent on whether the ones taking the survey were lying or not. Folks get good at lying, whether it be online or in person.

Why are so many people misreading this questionnand taking it in a completely different direction. He didn't ask for a conversation on who cheats more; men or women? He asked who we think cheats for pleasure. I believe its women who seek the pleasure felt. Women have a more emotional need when it comes to intimacy. Men are more animalistic, its all about the chase, the conquest if you will. Going after something until you get it. That would be more fitting for the male persona, the thrill of the chase. Thats what J believe anyway.
