Who got an adult circumcision and how much did it cost you?

It would have been a few thousand but I combined it with a vasectomy that was covered.

Can't remember if I ever asked you this before but what's your opinion on the circumcision debate? Like is it better to have you son circumcised when they're young or is it better to leave it alone and let them make that decision for themselves as an adult?

@Bandit74 that’s tough to answer objectively. “Let then decide” is ethically appealing but it’s a bit of a cop out. Like really when can they decide? If they come to you at 14? Or will you say “oh you’re just insecure cause you’re a teen wait till you’re older”. At what age are they allowed to decide? And given it’s not covered by insurance and costs more for an adult “let them decide” is effectively “a decade into being sexually actively they can spend a few thousand and take a few days off work if they don’t like what I picked”. That’s sort of letting them choose but... you’re still picking for a big part of their life. If they’re going to have it done infancy is better. So I think it’s worth guessing if they’re likely to want it. I guess I’d say that much.

Aside from the monetary costs are there any other downsides to letting them decide on their own later? Like does the likelihood of complications increase dramatically having it done as an adult opposed to having it done as a baby? Also regardless of age do you think the benefits of having it done outweigh the risks in general? It seems like the benefits are relatively minor while the risks are rare but potentially really severe. I recently saw a post on YouTube about a guy in the gaming community who was falsely accused of sexual assault and his defense was that he had really bad complications from his circumcision where it is extremely difficult to impossible for him to get get erections/experience sexual pleasure.

Actually I’d say adult is better as an adult can pay and outweigh pros and cons himself. A baby cannot.
