Why am I only attracted to my bf when I'm high or drunk?

Okay so my bf and I have been dating for about 3 years. We broke up once for about 2 weeks, but it's mainly been pretty good. We both smoke weed daily and other drugs on occasion when they're around but nothing hardcore. My issue is that I'm not attracted to him unless I'm drunk or high. I absolutely hate making out, it almost makes me gag. If I'm high or drunk, I love it. Similar situation when having sex. Is it because I dont find him attractive or the drugs have taken over or I don't know, I guess i just want opinions.

You got it partially right in your last sentence. The high you get from drugs of any kind, or the drunk you get from alcohol make you feel better than you do when you are sober.

When you abuse these things, your mind gravitates to that euphoric state, and you begin to move your emotions there, too.

In short, yes, the drugs have taken over.

When you are not high, reality comes crashing back in and you are not "attracted" to him any more.

This cannot be a good thing. I personally think you're wasting your time with him. This isn't about finding someone better its about finding a right match. If you gag when you kiss him and only enjoy kissing him when you're in a different state of mind, then that is a telltale sign you two aren't right for each other

You don't like him, if you need to get high to have feelings for him may be you just keep him around to have fun, I did that before but after all the fun was over I knew I didn't want anything to do with him, he wasn't for me he was just a game.
