Why are bigger boobs (generally) seen as more attractive?

It's mostly the immature attitude that "more is better." Think of a young teen boy that's just gone through puberty - who was playing with Transformer toys a year or two before. To him, if it's louder, faster, or bigger, it's better, because if something is good, then more of it is always better!

It takes some maturity to appreciate nuance and fine details, and appreciate things beyond "MOAR!!!" Most guys come to realize that bigger isn't necessarily better or more desirable, though there's always some who never do. Still, when an advertiser is targeting the 16-25 demographic, big boobs are a good way to get male attention in that age range, as an example. So the stereotype lives on.

They are NOT. That is a myth that women perpetuate. There are just as many guys who prefer small boobs and there are who prefer large boobs.

That's not necessarily true. This question assumes a lot about a subjective topic. Most men may have a preference for size and shape of a woman's breast, but in general, most men I've spoken with about this topic are impartial to their partners breast size and shape. In other words, they didn't choose their partners because of their boob preference. I'll use me as an example. I prefer medium, firm and bell shaped boobs. My wife was small, firm and round. Today, and three child births later, her breasts are small, with a bit of a sag and more slender shape. I love her breast and I still find her breast attractive. They're beautiful and fun to play with. I think most men fall into this category when it comes to this question.

Because only women have boobs (specifically, only teen and adult human females), so as a sexually dimorphic trait, we're drawn to them for reproduction purposes (sex). Kinda the same deal with bigger penises.

If there is a girl standing in front of me with small boobs and a girl with big boobs the odds are I would pick to go to small boobs for some reason I've always felt that they have more Sensations I've learned that that's not true but I still believe that

The falsehood that “bigger is better”…I think they just get more attention tho. I know I do when I hang out with friends that are smaller than me (which is most of them).

It's just a cultural perception that bigger boobs are seen as more attractive. However a great many guys love smaller boobs or are indifferent to a woman's bust because they prefer other features (booty).

survival reasons. biologically speaking no man wants to breed with a woman who won't produce enough milk to feed their newborn child. also if a woman has big boobs then that means she's old enough to actually have sex.

Men like boobs. So it's just the more the better. If I like a woman's thighs or ass then wouldn't it make sense I want it to be bigger?

The scientific theory is because it's often related to higher estrogen, which is in turn a sign of higher fertility.

The problem is it's not a one-to-one correlation, and you won't find this in all cultures. So it's sometimes thought to be purely cultural. However that doesn't work either, because history indicates that as people become more economically successful women who have larger boobs are seen as more attractive. So the jury is still out.

There will always be many exceptions though.
